urodentis
Compared to Fallout 3 it's a highly unstable game. Why? What went wrong? Fallout 3: Bethesda made the game and tested it themselves. Fallout New Vegas: Bethesda tested a game made by Obsidian. Bethesda you sure know how to put in less effort when testing other companies' projects to make them look bad. Now everyone hates Obsidian and more love for Bethesda. More claims Obsidian can't make a proper game and more claims they should have let Bethesda make Fallout New Vegas to begin with. evilneko
I haven't had any more problem with NV than FO3. Actually, I've had less.
MythWisper
What evilneko said, untill i added mods Lol, really matters on how much your comp can take, most CTD's are overloads.
ozziefire
Actually I didn't have any crashing problems with NV till I discovered this modding site :) Edited May 1, 2011 by ozziefire
scot
Yes I agree with the rest of replies, I rarely had crashes on falout 3 and NV runs much better than fallout 3 so, and I use lots of mods. The problem with bugs is not companies fault all computers are different and may respond differently to games.I see lots of people complaining about how oblivion and fallout games have lots of bugs and crashes and I really don´t get why as my games run really smooth. The only crashes I had were mods incompatibilities. rickerhk
I had zero problems with both FO3 and FNV when running them vanilla.Adding plugins, textures and meshes changes the game. There really is no basis for complaining if you modified the vanilla product and it crashes.
rhs88
Most of the problems I've had with the games are things that stemmed from Oblivion. However, many of those random crashes lessened with FO:3 and then with Vegas. Of course, once we start modding them to Isengard and back there will undoubtedly be more problems than with the vanilla versions.
bla5
aha...both games were for me unplayable in vanilla, but i speak more of the gameplay than crashes :rolleyes:but thanks Nex. and its modcapacity it became finally a playable game... and hey..sometimes i can play 5 hours without crash :woot:
majinshinsa
i beat this on the ps3 and it crashed a lot (before the big patches, i had beaten it by then and finally got my gaming rig up) obsidian also made knights of the old republic 2 which was rushed and buggy. alpha protocol was buggy. its a trend at this point. BooneoftheWasteland
Sound problems were brutal for me. Other than that, it's been great.
