You REALLY don't understand anything that was said do you? You see... I spend a good portion of my free time around here trying to help people figure out how to make THEIR mods work... I have stated why such a mod wouldn't be worth my (or anyone else's) effort, your assumptions just show that you don't know anything.

Hm... If a modder could use the dancing-AI from Sheogorath's dancer for some other female NPC's, and leave them undressed? If you put the group in a house or castle, you might get something like a strip club... Just an idea

That would be possible, but that's not what was asked. What was asked was to have other..."things" that would require a lot of animations.

And you fail to get the point. All that stuff requires time and effort. Since people will probably want more than an empty room with a woman in it that does something other than a dance 24/7 (some atleast) that requires more effort. Since the vast majority of people downloading the mod would only make use of the things provided either once, or 45 seconds at a time, all the effort spent into making the mod would be worthless. Modders generally have a sense of pride about their work, some of that pride is knowing that somewhere there are people who continually use something they made. To make a mod which is basically just a throwaway mod (when there are so many more meaningful things to do) reflects poorly on the modder. Some may not have a problem with this, but most of those in the "capable" category do. If someone really wants to do this, they will, but the whole point of what was said is to let those walking into this have some idea of knowing what sort of task they're looking at.

To get this "idea" to actually work right, you'd need to convince one of the tiny number of people who can actually do animations to drop what they're doing and spend countless hours on something nobody's really going to use anyway. You're on crack if you think this is actually going to happen. I wouldn't touch this project with a 10' pole unless someone is paying me, and I strongly suspect all the other 3d artists feel the same way.

 

Then on behalf of all the ones who enjoy seeing nudity, we apologize that we don't fit into your perfect sense ;p

 

God you're an idiot. I love nudity. Nudity is great, sex is great. But I've discovered this wonderful thing called PORN. I don't need to spend countless hours putting nudity in my video games when I can just download a good porn movie and get something that looks much better.

 

And remember, by the "time is money" principle, by the time I could finish this mod, I could pay for a really impressive party at a real strip club.

Not for me anyway, and I'm only a Novice when it comes to creating 3D stuff.

 

God you're an idiot. Unless your definition of "realistic" is "looks like ****", animating realistic movements is NOT easy. Even ignoring the technical side of rigging, getting the motions right is extremely hard. Human movement is not even close to simple, it's not just a straightforward "move the part" animation, you have to get all the subtle details right. There's a good reason professional animators make good money doing this.

I appreciate knowing it would be too time consuming but I think the assumption that other people would not enjoy it for more that 45 seconds is maybe a little narrow minded. People have made nude mods and it seems hundreds of people are getting of on playing Barbie dress up. It could become something of a phenomena but it seems that this kind of idea is still left to be sadly dismissed. Any realistic town in any world would eventually develop the need for this kind of release. If Oblivion or any other world were to imitate reality, the reality is "it is EXTREMELY unrealistic for there not to be an establishment of kind in any town."

 

it would have been great for me. and I think if you look around, SIMS 2, The Movies, there is this overwhelming need to get women naked in video games, but it always stops there.

There is a difference between this and the body mods. Body mods replace the fugly bodies which are the default. Just because people use them doesn't mean they have people running around nude 24/7... Normally, it's just to remove the feelings of disgust when you do see someone walking around nude, or as often the case, lying around dead. Body mods make the game look better. This sort of mod doesn't unless you happen to spend your entire time sitting in that one room. In which case, you would still probably need to have one of the body mods in place.

You failed to get the joke there... And yes, that is about the only purpose of a stripping mod... Something which an internet full of porn can already accomplish.

Actually there is. If people read things like this then they wouldn't post more themselves. Thus causing everyone who knows a thing about modding a lot less stress. Try to set your requests as realistic and achievable and you won't have people flaming you. It's simple. These people know a lot more about this stuff than you do, so I'd trust them and not someone who can't even go through the trouble of typing in proper english.

They do of course have something like this in Morrowind. If you combine it with a nude mod you have naked dancers in The House of Earthly Delights in Suran.

 

Whilst I am inclined to agree with Peregrine that this kind of computer game is not really a substitute platform for pornography, I also feel that a degree of realism would be added by developing the career opportunities in Oblivion. Stripping would not be high on my list but I feel there should be refuse disposal, funeral services, furniture stores, builders etc. etc. etc.

 

But realistic animations are for the well paid experts to produce. I doubt you'll find them offering their services free to the Oblivion community.
