Chemist18 Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Hello, I've been watching lots of Fallout 4 videos where I see people doing things like moving while placing objects. I've only figured out how to move forward by hitting the 'X' key. I've seen people rotating items, moving them up and down with ease etc. Before this most recent patch I could make do with using 'E' to make my mouse-wheel move the object up and down. However, since the patch construction has become quite awkward. I noticed in the patch notes... Added ability to rotate an object you are holding with left/right triggers and pressing down on left thumbstick lets you switch the rotating axis Improved "ESDF" keys remapping support while in Workshop mode (PC) I'm assuming that the same rotation functionality is available for PC but I haven't the foggiest idea how. Will someone point me to a list of keystrokes, etc. for object manipulations? I've tried Google with no success. Thanks.
AeonsLegend Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Move forward/backward use mouse scroll or move your character (W or S key)To rotate use left or right mouse button
Ethreon Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Nope, that functionality is not available on PC. You can only rotate on Z axis so far, unless they hid that key somewhere.
Chemist18 Posted February 4, 2016 Author Posted February 4, 2016 Thanks for the responses :). With the new seemingly minor changes building anything in Hangman's Alley has become an exercise in futility.
bladexdsl Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 (edited) WASD to move, mouse to move cam/objects and rotate easy. Edited February 4, 2016 by bladexdsl
Chemist18 Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 I wish I could actually play using that configuration. I'd need three hands though :(
