Hello, I've seen so many absolutely beautiful screenshots that are absolutely breathtaking. Even when i put my setting on the highest one my graphics still look quite mediocre. :wallbash: Can someone suggest some graphix enhancing mods please?

I know exactly what you mean. I max the graphics on my PC and it still does not look as good as the pictures i see posted.

I know! Like if you look at those images in the image forum it looks like almost realistic! My graphics aren't even close to being screenshot worthy :(

Some notes:

1. Installing HiRez texture pack(such as QTPIII) will help.

2. Check OBGE2.

3. Many screenshots are photoshopped.

ok what's OBGE2 mean?

Oblivion Graphic Extender version 2

add water effects, godrays, AA, shadows and other stuff and as said above many screens are photoshopped.

It also depends on models what people use (head06 + hgec body and whatnot)

A lot of the "pretty" you see in the screenshots is from editing. You know, turn up contrast, blur a little here, tadaa!

Oblivion is still a somewhat old game - the graphics can only go so far. I guess try some texture packs - they seem to make everything look more detailed.

I once wanted to do this, so I asked the same questions and got the same answers :) as you can tell in my "2 Screenshots" :P (Not Shopped Either) Ahh the wonders of OBGE

Install these : Qarl Texture Pack III, Weather - All Natural, Bananasplit Better Cities (Optional), either one of water mods like this

I suppose that's the essential mods for more realistic shots. The rest are photoshopped ;)

If you didn't own photoshop or are not good at editing, try Screen Effect
