robhartman9
Ninpo Taijutsu uses several fighting postures that are designed to hide your intent or otherwise not stand out. The game designers gave the PC postures and animations that to me look like ninja techniques taken from everyday life. A good ninja is not easily recognized as one until s#*! hits the fan. When time comes for battle the ninja dispatch the enemy with ruthless efficiency. The last courcer I faced went down trying to activate his stealth field. Its a little late for stealth when I got the drop on you with the gatling laser. And yes ninja's do use guns they call it Teppo Jutsu. While Japan may have been slow to adopt the gun and even outlawed it for a couple hundred years the ninja were not about to give up a newly acquired tactical advantage. Grandmaster Hatsumi has scrolls dating back to within a couple of years of the first arrival of the Spanish that depict kill zones on targets. It didn't take the ninja very long at all to adopt this new weapon.
Moraelin
Well, they did forbid a lot of stuff outside a battlefield during the Azuchi–Momoyama and Edo periods, including regulating sword sizes in civilian use, allowed guards, and so on. But I wouldn't say that they were slow to adopt guns. In fact, I'd say they were actually faster than the Europeans to mass-arm with snap-matchlock muskets when they got those from the Portuguese. You'd be surprised how few years it took from the first battle where one company of musketeers was there, to whole regiments shooting volleys. By the end of the Sengoku Jidai, they had, I kid you not, a hundred thousand ashigaru, most of them with muskets. For the end of the 16'th century, that's a crapload of musketeers. Glycerius
Yes, tightly drill pikemen, using Swiss methods, were still the European norm for a long time. It stood them in good stead in Europe, Africa and India. What capped the European advantage is they mastered large calibre guns, often mounted on ships, meaning they could defeat local potentates again and again, even if the local prince was in no sense technologically backward. Is this armour capable of being activated? It might introduce balance issues, but overall the Institute are a bit rubbish, with really indifferent guns, nothing compared to a Railroad Gauss rifles, short of a lot of upgrading - there might be some rare legendary weapon, but I mean the normal course of weapon dropped by synths and coursers. MLeonhardt
It seems it was planned that the institute would have their own PA instead of the sickest 0-x1 paint job.http://imgur.com/kqEdwSp Thoughts? Looks like big dady :laugh:I can see why it was cut. Jesus that looks stupid Who the hell wants to walk around looking like a fatter Protectron? MLeonhardt
Still, my son is a f*#@ing idiot for not inventing a "Fat" Synth with more armor and HP to carry heavy weapons into battle. Those shitty little Institute pea shooters aren't going to do dick against a suit of Power Armor or a Deathclaw
