ShadoWarrior Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Can the site admins please add a tag for character pools so that those of us that would rather filter them out can do so? Also, they should have their own category. There sure are plenty of pool mods now.
Khazura Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Character pools shouldn't be allowed on the nexus all together imo. They aren't mods, they're 90% of current uploads and they're cluttering the ACTUAL mods. There's even a website EXCLUSIVELY for upoading character pools. I regret that my first post here is full of salt but I'm so sick of them already and I seriously feel they should just go.
Siplex Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 they should have category but don't remove it.
SakuraKoi Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Obviously those need their own category but I suppose time will have to tell if they indeed clutter up important space, the number of them may very well decrease... or increase. Now I'd say that having, in the future, every second "Mod" being a Character Pool to be simply too much.
ShadoWarrior Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 13 of the 28 mods posted in the past 24 hours are pools. Is it too much to ask of the Nexus admins that we get a Pool tag and a Pool category so that those of us who consider pools to be mostly-worthless mods can filter them out?

Is it too much to ask of the Nexus admins that we get a Pool tag and a Pool category so that those of us who consider pools to be mostly-worthless mods can filter them out?Well, I have now earned quite a traumatic experience when I took a look at one of them... Just before taking a look at it I thought that it'd funny to have anime-styled characters, I like the anime style very much and finally found a software/game that finally made 3D look as good as (very good) 2D, heck, one would not be able to tell the difference. The software I won't name because reasons is based on Unity and the models are highly customizable but I am confident that one with know-how could import the .model through making them a .blender file (there is a blender plugin for that albeit Japanese) and then into the UE format (Feel free to PM me for the name of the game, the assets and the link to the Blender Conversion Plugin along with the tex2png for the textures).... now then, that XCOM 2 "Mod" made me very very sad since it obviously does not (but I still hoped it would) contain real anime characters, instead of, well... bad cosplay (not that actually any cosplay ever amazed me but that one certainly lacks details)
2much4l1 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I blocked all character pool mod authors, but what if someday one of them creates a really great mod.

It's a Band-Aid solution to an injury that needs stitches.
braven25 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 All mods should be in a catagory, thats usually how nexus mod sites work. Not sure why XCOM don't have catagories yet
