LHammonds Posted May 6, 2011 Share Posted May 6, 2011 I have detailed images of the hammer in the Thor movie being released tomorrow (via Official Movie Special magazine) and I plan on creating the model and textures tonight and tomorrow. Would be nice if somebody could help hurry this mod along and make a plugin for it. Let me know if ya want to help. Desired plugin effects:Ability to send foes flying upon strike.Enchant ability to include massive shock damage upon strike.Maybe a script that does not allow anyone with any infamy to wield the hammer. I'd go so far as to want anyone picking it up that is not deemed "worthy" to be knocked back with major shock damage inflicted upon them.Alternate version that acts like a staff and sends out lightning strikes.Until I am finished with the weapon, the hammer included in Apophis: Armory of the Silver Dragon can be used as a placeholder. The blue part is a simple cylinder but it will utilize a glowmap...maybe an animated texture if I can get that working. I just got back from watching the movie. It was great. I know that the "knocked back" feature I want in the plugin is not true to how it is in the movie but I want the power from mjolnir "felt" by all. Here is a script for you to do just that! Credits go to Xengyou for it, he made me it a while back for one of my projects. LHammonds Posted May 6, 2011 Author Share Posted May 6, 2011 Thanks. The_Vyper has agreed to take a stab at the plugin and we've been talking back-n-forth about implementations. One of them being the pushactoraway and issues surrounding its usage in combination with other effects. So far, I'll be creating 3 models for this mod. One being the weapon itself, another being the dirt mound the weapon sits on and the last being the weapon as a static resting on the mound. I'm trying to keep this quick-n-easy but if I get one of my hair-brained ideas, I might have to make some alterations. :thumbsup: EDIT: UV Map just about done. Will start on textures as soon as that is finished. I squished the height of the end-piece to be a bit thinner...mine looked a bit fat when flopping back-n-forth between my render and the movie image.
