Could some one please retexture the M82a3 AMR ?

I took a more brute force approach to modifying the textures. So for all textures of a particular piece, mag, grip, scope, etc... I added basically the same layers of scratches. In the future though, I think I won't have to modify the _s textures, just the regular and _m textures. I also didn't modify the _n textures or the lens textures. I did modify the .png files just for the sake of it, but I don't think I'll need to replace those in the future (to my knowledge, those .png files shouldn't have anything to do with changing anything in the game).

I have some business before April 1st to finish before I can start working on a more detailed retexture (I'll probably still have some spare time to work on it, nevertheless), but I promise you all will get one. :D

Some really good work here.

If anything, I think there is now too much rust. I think the actual rust pattern on the mag looks great - though I would have it covering a little less of the metal; right now, it looks like the entire mag could just crumble away.

I like the way you've done the butt of the stock, which I assume is meant to be rubber.

The actual main body of the weapon is the tricky bit. Right now, I think it looks too consistently faded and rust-coloured. As a result, it doesn't look like erosion. Instead, it looks like an intentional paint job of some kind. Maybe the body shouldn't be rusted - can't remember from the original weapon, but is it made from steel or some sort of polymer? Maybe, rather than focusing on rust, go more for scratches and paint chipping. Something like this: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10814/? or http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9671/? .

It may also be worth putting this in the downloads section. That way more people will be able to see it and offer opinions. As it stands, even though I think it needs further work, it is still better than the original and a whole lot of other weapons textures out there, so no need to hide it away. This will also allow us to test it properly and get an idea of how it looks in our own games.

Hey crawe1x,

I just saw your comment after uploading these new images:

1st person: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/images/26667/?

3rd person: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/images/26666/?

These textures add a noticeable amount of rust and a bleached look to the entire sniper rifle. I actually like this look a lot, but I am willing to try some more options out. (Perhaps partially for the pure sake of improving upon my texture manipulation skills :D).

I think you're also right that each part should be treated material specific. And while this work is fun, it also can be a bit time consuming to make small changes as suggestions are added, although I understand that this is part of the process. That being said, I'm wanting to see how these textures might be received by the community and then move from there.

Thank you all for your input and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this most recent update. :D

Quick update:

I've got a few ideas in mind that are bringing this next attempt together well. I think I'm fully understanding just the right amount of scratch, dirt, rust, and grunge that the community is looking for. I think all of you will like my next release. :D
