TODAY'S PROGRESS REPORT:

- Work on naval engagement, including custom interior.

- Dialogue.

I'm hoping to have the final side-quest wrapped up and all dialogue written by the end of January. Once that's complete, I'll perform another round of testing, then *hopefully* move on to voicework. Thanks for the support, everyone!

I realize that the majority of Thirsk Saga adds new world spaces and so don't generally affect the vanilla game as such, but will you be forwarding any needed changes from the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch (particularly the fixes made to Dragonborn?

Also, give me a shout if you want before release and I'll give the mod a rigorous inspection and give the mod a clean if needs be - pretty good where that s#*! is concerned.

UPDATE:

I'll be frank. I'm burned out on this project, and in light of runaway feature creep I have decided to cut the Sons of Shor side-quest and use the storyline and characters in a separate, standalone mod, Sons of Shor. I just have zero left in the tank for Skyrim right now, and I want to wrap this up so I can get back to Fallout: New Vegas for a change. I will inevitably return to Skyrim down the road, but the creative sprint that fueled this mod's development has run its course. I will be laboring to finalize dialogue on the remaining quests, then post for testing soon thereafter. Once testing is complete, I will begin the process of casting, hopefully followed by release in a few months.

I'm pleased with the mod, but it has gone way, way beyond what I initially envisioned as a tidy questline that provides closure to the rather unfulfilling vanilla Thirsk quests. I appreciate your ongoing support (and patience!), and I promise I'll finish this before moving on to another project. I learned my lesson about such mistakes long ago. Rest assured, the mod will still offer hours of content, with a good helping of Riekling farts and Argonian whores.

Yeah, once the post-release high for FO4 dissipated, I found myself missing New Vegas again. After two years? It's not even close.

There will be more Skyrim mods, of course (I'm loyal to my TES roots), but 2018 will bring a return to New Vegas, starting with some small-scale projects. I'll announce everything in the New Vegas forums once Thirsk Saga is finalized. Thanks for the support!

You have no idea how excited I am to be that lone badass in the plate carrier wielding an M4 and hunting down mobsters, bandits, fiends, and god-knows-what else again and skull-f*#@ing murderous, sociopathic badasses after killing them in a graveyard. God, how I love the cross-themery in New Vegas.
