Dreamlich
Okay, lads and lasses, look... I am, by all possible means, a complete newbie when it comes to Fallout in general. So far I enjoy the lot of it, but I’ve run into a couple of strange errors. For whatever reason, I keep dying at seemingly random moments… I can be midway a conversation, just walking or anything. I just keep dying… (seemingly) highly randomly. Anyone know why? I particularly seem to die most randomly while crafting, for whatever reason -am I doing something wrong, or is it something else? Mods/admins: please make sure to move my post, say if it's misplaced, thank you.
Moraelin
That's definitely not normal. I have no idea what kind of mod mix would be causing that.
TheOriginalEvilD
That's a new one for me. I'd at least start a new character and see if the same thing keeps happening.
Klipperken
Are you poisoned?Radiation? It's weird, indeed. Only thing I can think of is some slow killing something. Bring up Console and type prid 14 followed by resethealth. If you still drop dead, you might need a reinstall... :(
Dreamlich
I have no mods installed whatsoever, and I did buy the game legally via Steam (if there's any doubt). I’ve checked for Rads and all, but I cannot figure out what the issue is (all in all, there seems to be no logical reason for it). Guess I’ll try to make a new save, then. Perhaps it’s just God’s wrath… perhaps I’m not meant to enjoy this game. Back to Skyrim, then, I suppose... irony all away, if anyone can help, I’d appreciate it. I doubt the pirated version will have this new ability to kill you randomly. In most cases it will just have random technical errors. But for the sake of TOS, we don't discuss anymore pirated thing here. There is only ONE reason I see that you have this problem: Rad storm? FO4 is not big on DOT (damage over time). Some games I can see that we have a DoT and it is killing the player slowly but surely, and we frantically search for a cure. But not FO4. Most poisoning will probably wear out in less than a minute, and certainly will not give you time to walk around calmly and kill you 10 hours later. But for rad storm, you should see your radiation creeping over your HP? And what other indication? Maybe you get sniped by raiders and your HP is too low to take another shot? You are playing PC version right?

You are playing PC version right? My apologies, I didn't mean to mention anything pirate-related - just wanted to clarify I did not pirate the game. I am indeed playing on a PC, yes. It’s a rather functioning gaming PC with decent enough specs (Fallout auto set graphics for High Quality), for the record (though I highly doubt that has any relevance). As of right now, I’m having a go at reinstalling the game. I’ll post the result as soon as it gets in.
Dreamlich
About two hours into playing after reinstalling. Haven’t died yet. It seems it worked. I’ll post again if it occurs again… then again, I really, really wonder what the **** the issue was… weirdest bug/issue to ever happen to me in a game. I bet what happened earlier was all hostiles NPC were invisible and you don't even know they are shooting at you, maybe. Lots can go wrong with a game. But I am glad you made it.
