Shanix
Before you even say it:Installed redists. My paths are correctI've got a project builtI've tried without a project, with an example project, and with my current project. Issue persistsI've verified cache of tool AND XCOM2. - After every editor launch, if I reverify it finds a few files to redownload. Thoughts?Uninstalled then Reinstalled the tools.NEW: Running the editor in the binaries folder has the same result.Moving on... Whenever I launch the editor, I'll get a loading mouse cursor for a few seconds then nothing. XCOMgame.exe launches in the processes list but skips out after loading cursors returns to normal.Crash Log reveals nothing, though I think the issue with the line that saysConnection to "Provider=sqloledb;Data Source=production-db;Initial Catalog=EngineTaskPerf;Trusted_Connection=Yes;Connection Timeout=2" or "10.1.20.20" failedI'm willing to try anything at this point, has anyone had an issue like mine and solved it? EDIT: Let me clarify, I can launch modbuddy no problem, all works in there, but if I try to launch the editor it fails. Drakous79
Have you tried running ModBuddy or SDK binary as admin?
Shanix
Yep, no difference, not even in time for the Editor to fail to launch.
Drakous79
I'll recap what I've done to run the editor. Win 7 x64. Installed XCOM 2, then waited 3 days for SDK to download, installed SDK. Started SDK by clicking on desktop icon and got prompted with error message. Installed VS 2013 isolated shell, started SDK, all ok, started UDK by Tools / XCOM 2 Editor. Today I've experimented with graphic card and suddenly ModBuddy couldn't be started by desktop icon (crash). But I could run it from Binaries folder as admin. Finaly I discovered the culprit was RadeonPro utility. But too late, so now I have to redownload some pieces of the puzzle again. Would be nice, if someone could post working UDK log. Shanix
I'm going to try installing XCOM 2 and the Toolset to the same drive and see if that helps, but it shouldn't.
Shanix
The answer is no, issue persists.

Video card's detection kicks in, but in my case the log continues with shader platform. Do you run XCOM 2 without issues? Do you have 64-bit operating system? Maybe you could try to reinstall VGA drivers.
Shanix
I guess it's not the timeout error. Yeah, XCOM 2 runs perfectly fine on 64 bit drivers. I'll try that and see if installing the full UE3, not just the redist, will help too.
jgbaxter
Oy I've got the same problem and I even went to advanced testing to fix it. Unfortunately kicking the computer produced no improvement. :ninja: Hmm, almost the same, I did get the editor to seemingly load, but sometime before it should finish it just disappeared.
