LadyAubrie
Did you disable a mod recently? Oh, boy...um...lots. ^^;; I disable, enable, and re-enable all the time. The most notable one I can think of that I disabled was a hunger mod...Basic Primary Needs...but re-enabling it and eating and drinking and everything didn't accomplish much. ^^;;
MotoSxorpio
Enabling and disabling can corrupt saves, especially if OBSE is required by the mods being toggled. One should make a save with the mod, reload without and after waiting say 15 secs for scripts to catch up that were called or pointed to by the save or stopped if they are no longer part of the save. I thought of something though could be a long shot: You could try "showracemenu" and save outside console. This might set your attributes lower, but if you have something like Oblivion XP it will rebuild the stats to pretty close, in a normal save. I dunno if that would work or not, but I would try "showracemenu" and just tweak your eye choice up one then back to where you want and save OUTSIDE the console. Be sure to back up before you try this, please. :) Edited May 20, 2011 by MOTOSXORPIO
LadyAubrie
Moto, thank you for replying...I went and tried your suggestion. :) My hopes were high, but it didn't work for me, alas. Although I may continue to mess around with the showracemenu command and see what happens. Thinking about what you said, I do run a few mods that require OBSE...Deadly Reflex 6 being one. I can see where this might have messed with stuff... Thankfully, I've got Wrye Bash working again, and I don't know if there's anything I can do in there, but I'm certainly open to trying, if it can fix my problem. My only other alternative is to install Unlimited Rings and Amulets and make an item that fixes my problem and just wear it all the time. Boo. But thank you for your idea! HeyYou
Have you considered using a console command to set your stats to where they should be? Player.setav {skill/attribute name} {value}
LadyAubrie
Yeah, I actually tried that and what's actually kind of funny about that is that the setav command does bump up my stats...but it doesn't get rid of the big red number...or the negative modifier. Although it *does* work, and I suppose that *is* an option for me....
HeyYou
That's just bizarre. There has to be some de-buff going on, that doesn't show in your current affects page....... Isn't there a command to negate ALL such affects????? I seem to remember reading something about it...... just don't remember where.
LadyAubrie
Omg, I'd love it if there were. I'll do some research...if anything turns up, you're getting + kudos. xD Edit: I've read through the most comprehensive list of commands I could find, and the best I've found is the setav one. I hope I'm wrong. I'd love it if a command like you mentioned existed... Does anyone else know about a command like this? HeyYou
Well..... if you use OBSE, there's this one... But, in order to use it, you would have to have a script that ran the function, and then give you some flavor of output, be it in the console, a message box, or whathaveyou...... I am not able to come up with anything that just tells you piecemeal what is happening to you at the moment..... I suspect its a bug, or, a side effect from removing/changing a mod that affects your stats. But, if they were damaged, one would think that visiting a chapel, would take care of it.... or a restore potion/spell..... In all reality, I am just not sure why either of those two methods DOESN'T work..... Odd.
LadyAubrie
Ugh, and of course, scripting is the one thing I know *nothing* about. But still...thank you for posting the link. I may just cheat and make an item that fortifies those attributes so I don't have to look at the silly thing anymore. Urgh. Thanks so much for your help...I really appreciate it.....:) Edited May 22, 2011 by LadyAubrie
