Xios5
Hi, I recently uninstalled Oblivion to start afresh with mods(going to try and keep it clean this time around :) ), so before I did so I salvaged what I thought was all the necessary Shivering Isles and other DLC files from the Oblivion/Data directory. I lost the installer and haven't got the disc any more, but I had four BSA files(Meshes, Textures, Sounds, Voices) and a "Construction Set file".I put them into the new Oblivion/Data folder, started Oblivion and checked off the box in the Data Files.I then started playing with my new character, and I'm getting no Bravil rumours about a strange door, nor has waiting 24 hours yielded any results. Basically, am I missing a file from this lot: DLCShiveringIsles - Meshes.BSA, DLCShiveringIsles - Textures.BSA, DLCShiveringIsles - Sounds.BSA, DLCShiveringIsles - Voices.BSA, DLCShiveringIsles(construction set file) Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can offer! HeyYou
The game has gotten dirt cheap of late, you can pick up GOTY for under 20 bucks. About the only way you are going to solve your issue.

HeyYou
Starting the SI quest has been problematic in the past for many folks. Best bet is, just head off to Bravil, and see if the island is there.
Fonger
Starting the SI quest has been problematic in the past for many folks. Best bet is, just head off to Bravil, and see if the island is there.probably won't be there he clearly didn't (re)install SI He installed Blivo with the support SI files included but SI changes the exe as part of the install so the solution is to go out and buy the game - for a proper (re)install

bben46
SI is not a mod, as all of the other DLCs are. It is a game overhaul that actually makes changes in the main Oblivion files - such as Oblivion.exe. So it needs to be installed after Oblivion. Copying the SI files will not help.
