Though I know some mods have achieved similar things.Basically I am on a quest to make money as valuable as possible, and fast travel less of an incredible convenience. I dislike the ease of being able to fast travel everywhere with no consequence except for elapsed in game time, and though I know I can restrict myself to the carriages via mods or willpower, I just don't find it particularly "immersive" to take a carriage when I already own a horse (and I don't want my badass loner orc relying on others for transportation).So basically, I would like it that fast travel requires you be mounted to a horse, in addition to an expendable item. The idea would be that this item would be something "consumed" by your horse during the journey, like, for example, a bag of carrots, or hay, or something. Essentially, this item is used up every time you fast travel, which means it is an additional resource the player would need to keep tabs on and would benefit people like me who enjoy micro-managing...Hence, fast travel would require this item which must be bought by a vendor for a particular amount of money (doesn't really matter how much, I know I can change the specific amount).Basically I just want fast travel to have some kind of cost, and also, I want to give myself another reason to want to save up septims. It would make me think twice before traveling somewhere nearby if I can just take the journey manually on my horse. I know I can simply not fast travel, but I have spent over 50 in game hours with that rule enforced upon myself, and I just don't have the time or desire to keep manually traversing everywhere manually... I want to be able to fast travel, but I want there to be a reason to sometimes not to. If someone talented enough with modding and scripting could somehow give me a skeleton of a mod with a script that consumed a particular item upon fast travel AND required you to be on horseback (or just the former, I think there's a mod that already does the latter so I could just use that in conjunction with this mod), I'm sure I could work out the rest from there... Yes, it's a very simple concept, and essentially all it requires is the mechanic of an item being consumed upon fast travel, but I would like if it also checked if you are mounted on a horse to be able to travel. There's already a mod that does the latter, so that's possible, and there are mods that require you to have an item to fast travel (at least, frostfall has an option that requires you to have a wood-axe) so I think it's all very much doable...
