What about starting a new game? Does that also crash?

Did you use mods in that savegame? Do you use nods now? Are they the same as the ones being used in the savegame?

Is there any error message? Do you get to see anything from the game world before it crashes or does it crash during loading?

So you're crashing even on a new game in a freshly installed and completely unmodded vanilla Fallout 4? In that case, it's probably some general installation issue, settings issue, driver issue or hardware issue.

Do other graphically demanding games still work? Did you also make any changes to your hardware setup and/or operating system and/or driver installation in between?

I don't have any other graphically demanding games. FO4 was working fine at first (minus the visual glitches), And no I did not make any changes to my hardware setup and operating system.

Did you validate your game files to make sure all is well? If not go into steam, right click FO4 and select properties. Then select local files and verify integrity of game cache and see if it finds bad or missing files. If it does it will upload what is needed.

I'm having the same issue, It crashes when I load my game.

It won't load any of my games. Before I loaded up this game I did the .ini file changes and added a couple of mods. Throwing weapons, better settlers, child settlers (with optional better settlers patch), updated home maker, settlement keywords, OCDectorator.

I just spent the previous day fully and totally overhauling Finch Farm. Highway fortress with institute holding cells hanging under the highway, vertibird hellipad..... now its all gone...

I changed the .ini files back, I validated the game content, tried reinstalling half the mods, tried disabling half the mods. Is there any way I can get my fortress back? The save games says that there are items that might not be there anymore so the data that tells the game how my fortress was build could still be there right?

I just now had this same issue. Everything was fine yesterday. But I get home from work this evening and fire up Fallout 4 and try to load my save. I noticed that when I selected Continue (or loaded a save) it stayed on the main screen with the music (instead of going to the black loading screen). Then after about 30 seconds it crashed to desktop.

I looked in my Fallout 4 folder and found that the Fallout4.exe had a time stamp from about the time that I started my computer this evening. I went to the Steam Library, and instead of seeing "Fallout 4" I saw "Fallout 4 (Beta)". This is very strange since I have never opted into betas.

Anyway, I right-clicked on Fallout 4 Beta and went to properties and then to the Betas tab. I chose the option to opt-out of betas and the game redownloaded. After that I am able to launch Fallout 4 and load my saves with no problem.

It appears that Bethesda must have pushed out a beta and I somehow got it even though I never opted into betas.

It is the 1.3.47 update. It went out of Beta at the beginning of the month. A small number of mods had incompatible textures, so updating your mods to the latest versions should help prevent any unexpected CTDs.

No they did do a beta patch yesterday. It crashes my game when I enter the workshop.
