ThatGuyx
Hey, I'm going to post some of my music here as i progress if that's okay.. I've been working on learning music for about 2 years now. I use FLstudio among other things. I try to make techno, and dubstep. Anyway, on to the music :D Input is helpful :P Finished this today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb-W6YJr9hQ Edited May 18, 2011 by ThatGuyx
Dark0ne
I like any music with a decent beat, but I generally like it dirty. I like lots going on; so metal and dubstep work great for me. I really like my dubstep dirty though else, to me, it's just music with a slow beat and not much else going for it. Might as well make my way over to the Drum'n'Bass crew. I've really been enjoying offerings from Figure, Skrillex and Flux Pavillion. Mainstream I know, but in a genre that can often sound very samey, sometimes it's all goldies with oldies. Especially Skrillex who makes my hair stand on end. I appreciate the effort, but the style is not for me. On a side note, do you use Hype Machine (in the links provided)? It's a great site for finding dubstep on.
IndorilTheGreat
It is certainly interesting. I've been trying to get my friends interested in Dubstep for a while now, but they wouldn't even bother to listen to it. Of course, just a few days ago, they go crazy about it, and they are trying to introduce me to it. :pinch: All in all, it is nice. I like that it is not as dirty as most Dubstep tends to be; I find it to be a nice change.
ThatGuyx
Snip

Yeah bro, I'd agree with that. I just find it really hard to make your typical dirty dubstep.. All those guys you linked are great btw. I love Skrillex. He's pretty awesome.

I've never heard of Hype Machine actually, but it looks pretty cool.

Also, Thanks Indoril

Here is another song of mine:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=megLSbIhoxk

Edited May 19, 2011 by ThatGuyx
grannywils
Don't know anything about dubstep (never heard of it) but I do love music, all kinds. So I listened, as you requested. Loved the first one. Didn't like the second one as well, as I felt it was more disjointed. I did go and listen to Skrillex, as suggested by Dark0ne and liked them too. I guess I don't know what you all mean by "dirty" in the sound of the music. It is all fairly clear to me; much more so than metal. Anyway, don't know if a review from an oldie like me was what you wanted, but I listen to music day and night and love hearing new music, so good luck with it. grannywils
I liked it, but thought the ending fell flat. Don't know enough about dubstep to know if this is typical, but I think it is cool.
ThatGuyx
Thanks :D That song isn't really dubstep, more Techno or specifically Hardstyle.. I agree about the end :P
