Kuraikiba
No mod caused it. It occured as soon as I changed the INI. But I really think a total reinstall is completely last measure.

eric31415
An option to reinstalling would be to see which mods are missing meshes and/or textures, and copy them back into the game from your backups. If you installed everything via OBMM you could just deactivate/ reactivate the OMODs. This problem sometimes happens from major changes to your load order. When this happened to me, i opted for the complete reinstall. Just make sure you follow bben's guide or you will probably continue to have this problem. If you really think that an ini change caused this, just rename the ini and run the game. It will automatically generate a fresh one. When i did my reinstall i took the opportunity to convert all my mods to OMODs and install via OBMM. It took 3 days, but was well worth the effort. When you run archive invalidation use the following settings;BSA alterationFile types to include - texturesIgnore normal mapsGenerate entries on hash collision Using the wrong settings can cause serious problems. Kuraikiba
It didn't really work. Tried every one of those but deactivating all my mods (but I can't think of any that could have caused this), and reinstall. Here is what we know: ALL vanilla models are fine, even including modded elements made from vanilla meshes. NO mod added meshes work. NO mod added icons work. ONLY after the change to the INI did I have this problem. I clearly remember everything working, then it not. NO amount of replacing the INI has fixed this. NO mod capable of causing this exists on my comp I do NOT have the room on my comp for a backup. What I need to know if I am to deactivate my mods: WILL I HAVE TO START OVER AND GET EVERYTHING IN THEM AGAIN? bben46
If you follow my reinstall procedure, it will not take up much more space on your hard drive as it has you remove the game completely before reinstalling. Instead of copying the data folder, just rename it or move it. That will not take up any more space either. Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=240 It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice. If you are that low on hard drive space, you really need to do some serious housecleaning. Low disk space will cause disk thrashing and slow things down as it tries to find free space for temp files created while the game is running. I recommend getting a program to clean the trash off of your disk. I use a small program called Glary utilities. - here: http://majorgeeks.com/Glary_Utilities_Slim_d6236.html It is not a antivirus, but it does have a small spyware remover built in. It can remove quite a bit of spyware, but not all. Run the Glary Utilities after removing the game for best cleaning. As with any program be sure to read the documentation first. If you run it about once a week or so it will help keep you HD clean. After running it, run the defrag to organize the hard drive.
