Why? I mean why? Really why?

You mean the FO1 and FO2 kind of lore like being able to:

- take part in the sex trade as consumer or supplier (as in, literally, you can charge for sex. E.g., I got a neat 1000 caps from Karl in The Den, or got my car back from some thieves in exchange for sex.)

- star in porn movies

- get screwed up the rear end by a super-mutant for losing an arm-wrestling contest, and get to keep the ball gag

- pimp your wife

- make your wife be a "fluffer" in porn movies

- have some more sex on the side, like boning a mafia boss's wife, or another boss's daughter, or Miss Kitty, or a few others

- find a Tandi inflatable doll (yep, it exists as an item in the game)

- literally blow up crap (loved that outhouse in Modoc;))

- use a wakizashi blade

- for that matter, have guns as free of rust or tarnish as, say, this or this or this, and ditto for the armours, btw

- have all sorts of OOC events and dialogues based on Monty Python sketches or on Pinky And The Brain, Animaniacs, etc

- shoot those thieving kids in Klammath

Etc.

<sarcasm>Yeah, I can see how tits and prostitution mods and anime armours would ruin THAT kind of lore. We totally wouldn't want to dillute the Pinky And The Brain stuff with Hellsing stuff, and I can totally see how armours with lots of cleavage would totally not fit the FO2 theme and lore of sucking dick to get some porn actor erect for his next scene</sarcasm>

I actually think it's a great thought, I have been thinking it myself. Honestly it's not that I want a "sexy" male character, but more that I want him to look good, instead of wearing some bulky power armor, or something close to it.

I'd assume that it's because most of us are heterosexual males who like looking at women's curves, but not so much at guys' curves. So if you're a woman or just want your character to look like Hulk Hogan, you're less in luck.

Actually even that's not the whole problem. A lot of the meshes you see around -- save those who are the same mesh just tweaked for a new body -- actually come from other games or mods for other games. The number of people who can make a new armor mesh AND a good texture for it, is actually rather limited. And again, see the previous paragraph, the number of existing rigged meshes for other games has also reflected the greater target demographic of horny teenage male nerds.

Still, I do remember seeing some male body meshes around. Could have been for Fallout 3, though.

I'm gonna have to agree with this statement.

Modding is a time consuming task, and I suppose when you have to pick between staring at a guy's-muscular-badass-bod'-for-long-hours versus female-curvy-curves(not to mention all the dirty thoughts cooking in your head throughout the whole process), it's becomes a pretty easy decision.

Personally, I can't be inspired to invest time on something that doesn't appeal to me. Call it gay-barbie-dress-ups but hey, that's how I get my kicks. Heck, I wouldn't mind being a girl for a day to dress myself up IRL. Although, I know, that's a little off. But you get the point.

Think of paintings. Most of them are of nude women.

As a male character player i admit there's so few male mod on nexus. basically wasteland is supposed "to be" a dangerous place but it's actually a playground for skimpy-dressed female character. i mean, look please, you can't just run to a bunch of deathclaw with sexy and revealing outfit you need something more armored and more gear plus better skill to take out a bunch of deathclaw not just spray and pray like silly, sexy, cutie chick who just can't hold a 9mm pistol right???. WASTELAND IS NOT A PLAYGROUND IT'S A DEADLY PLACE WHERE YOU NEED TO SURVIVE NOT TOYING WITH SEX, LUST, KINKY OR SKIMPINESS ONCE AGAIN ITS A DANGEROUS PLACE!!!!. think yourself in a real wasteland and you only care about sex and skimpy clothes you just a soft prey and sex toys for everyone, right??. well i could even bombard the entire earth with nuke from those SSBM, Silo, and Nuclear Missile Carrying Vehicle if i need to proof that wasteland is dangerous and wasteland is not chick toy. yes i know people do have rights but this is for sake of immersion and it seems that male racism or male discrimination exist and i don't care about lore or doesn't i just care if that thing can protect yourself from a deathclaw attack not just providing lust, sex, kinkiness, skinniness, and skimpiness. That is actually why I always use the Dragonskin Tactical outfit by Anistar. Even as a female both in game and and a lesbian in real life, sexy to me is not Strafing sideways with a .44 in your hand while wearing a bikini. Sexy to me is more a woman in tactical gear with a .44 who knows what she's doing. Example, Michelle Rodriguez in Avatar. Ripley in Aliens/Alien, And the female soldiers in Gears of War 3.

God I love Ripley, she ranks at the top of my badasses of all times from a movie. I would totally hit that. :whistling:

Thankfully FNV and FO3 seem to have more male/female normal clothing (not as much sexy male stuff though) then say...Oblivion or Skyrim (though Skyrim is thankfully better then Oblivion). I also have more lore friendly armors/clothing planned for my mod after I update it. :D

I agree with Kataspie. personally i think sexy tactical and military outfit even if it is not lore make real badass, combat-ready chick who can protect himself not girl wearing other sexy outfit plus sexy tactical outfit seems quite rare like male outfit mod.
