amullinix
Vanilla means 'original, unmodded'. It's the term used when someone is referencing a clean game with no modifications (could possibly include official updates sent from the developers of whatever game you are talking about). Striker879
When you see references to 'the vanilla game' what it means is an unmodded Oblivion install. Vanilla resources are the original resources (armor clothing etc) unmodified in any way. As you're seeking information here I'm guessing your Oblivion install isn't going to be 'vanilla' much longer. Welcome to the club (and don't be shy about asking questions).
David Brasher
Plain vanilla Oblivion as opposed to more exotic ice cream flavors such as rocky road, pistachio, or diet double caramel butterbrickle pecan crunch.
tyrel117
ahhh ok so will "vanilla" add ons counter act mods such as HGEC?
ub3rman123
There aren't any vanilla mods because a mod isn't vanilla. Some mods will conflict with body mods such as HGEC, in particular other body mods.
