make provisioners immortal?

Actually, yes, they are protected. Seen them fight supermutants with rocket launchers and minigun, and they just get knocked on their ass. Again, unless you changed that with some mod.

Of course, protected means YOU or your companions can still kill them. So if you're not paying attention with the MIRV nuke or artillery fire, well, you get the idea.

Not entirely sure, but I suspect that car explosions you've caused count as you doing the damage.

As for FO4Edit, the provisioner is just a settler. It's not like the settler gets removed and replaced with a provisioner type NPC, which is what would be required if they actually were different NPC records. Whatever flags a normal settler has, they'll keep them when you assign them to be a provisioner.

So again, check what mods you have that change settlers.

Can't you make them essential through console commands? You would have to do it with each one individually but seems the easiest way to me.

yes but as i've said don't know where they are half the time. there is a mod that tracks them but it's a bit buggy.

When I assign them a trade route, I just "setav health 999999999" and they never die. I also outfit them with some mod armor I use and a high damage gun. I think their pack brahmin will die before they do, might also wanna beef their health up too.

i'll just have to do that if i ever run into one.

Have you trie using the call bell? Also, check your settlements early in the morning and in the evening before sunddown. They will likely be in the settlements or close to them at those times.

the call bell only works if they are near the set not if they are out in the field.

Sorry to break it to you, but there really is no easy way to do it. How many provisioners do you have? Finding 10-15 of them really shouldn't take that long. Besides if your supply lines are set up correctly most routes should be fairly short.
