PC Build Recommendations

It's time to replace my current rig. Simple enough right?

Below, are two towers made through ibuypower. I know it isn't the only website I can use, but it is one I have used for the past 5 years, without issues. Regardless of what you use, I am requesting opinions be given about the two options I have presented myself, and if you are so inclined, present other options (either complete rigs, or select things in the presented builds that could be replaced with whatever else). Basically, let me know if I am entirely off my rocker with what I have selected. Are there better options, if so which ones... that sort of thing. I appreciate any input Nexonians offer.

Again, I know there are other places than ibuypower to purchase from. I just wanted to see your reactions, and suggestions, for what I have been looking at. Also again, thanks for any input.

EDIT: This was placed in 'PC Gaming' because that is the purpose of my planned purchase.

I would go with the second! Tho I think it would be more $$$.

It's about 800 more than the first. Both are below $5k.

i7 2600k a week before the new processor generation

16GB of ram.

1TB RAID 0 over a SSD.

2GB 560ti.

optical drives.

sound card

network card.

and last but not least, a prebuilt?

really.

You're also paying about $2000 too much.

Just go with a 570 and i5/AMD FX.

It's better to buy a $1000 system yearly than to try to spend $4000 for two.

That'll work(DO WANT). only thing I can suggest is a SSD for your primary OS drive. It will make your PC faster.

edit: I also second i5 2500k- they overclock a massive amount. Oh yeah and don't prebuild anything. Ever. You will be able to put it together.. a child can put it together. Also it is nice to actually be able to put it together. just ask a friend round to help.

if you do that, with your budget, you will be able to afford extra monitors& waaaaaaaay better gear.

A single 570 is not going to be better than sli 560s, so if that is the choice and power consumption is not a concern, then I know what I would buy.

I personally wouldn't bother with AMD cpus with your budget. Unless you wait for Bulldozer.

Edit2: mobo is 1366 X58. I wouldn't go for that personally. Unless you were putting a 970 or 990 in it(6 core). otherwise I think socket 1155 is going to be what you would want to do.
