roiyaru
Does anyone like myself find modding oblivion or creating mods actually more fun than playing at times? For the past year nearly I havent been more than 10 real life hours out of the sewers before going back and modding my client or trying some new cool thing. I always learn something new and once I start I cant stop lol
bben46
Modding is the game. That other stuff is just for testing.
MichikoUnknownFox
Yeah agreed lol. Oblivion is really a sandbox game lol. In 4 years of playing this game I've actually not even finished the game yet! But I really enjoy playing around with mods, and even making some of my own. I like exploring and finding the mods I've put in, bug testing, and all that. :D
David Brasher
My taste in mods in unusual and aberrant. So I always think that I am going to download and play a bunch of mods, but I usually see the selection and go away sad and empty-handed. So I play vanilla Oblivion or build my own mods to play. It seems like I do end up spending more time modding than playing.
MichikoUnknownFox
I like your mods, David lol. I especially love your mods that deal with NPC behavior and adding NPCs, and dungeons/new places to explore. I like a populated world. :D That's why most of the mods I add deal with that, really. I like having lots of NPCs doing stuff. Like that old Goblin Wars mod. Even if I don't actually play with them, just the idea that I can if I wanted, and that maybe they're playing with each other even without me (maybe not but it's the thought!), that's what I'm looking for in Oblivion. :D -edit: I see you have a new mod that does exactly the kind of thing I like! (Battle Between Two Forts) Awwright time to install that and mess around with some NPCs. Edited May 25, 2011 by UNKNOWNYMOUS
Trypal7
I'm there with you all, I started with fallout then , well, I have been messin with Oblivion since I got it, and still have'nt finished the main quest but have over 120 hours in..:) I just like fiddling with stuff, open em up see how they work, and try not to break it lol I love this though, how open ended these platforms are that we can just about re-write a complete new game if need be. All I can say is >Thank You all who work to make this a better place<
MichikoUnknownFox
Yeah it got so much that I started to look for it in other games, which is wrong and unfair to other games lol. I was playing Assassin's Creed II and I kept thinking, "I wish I could mod some stuff here."
Faivon
Modding is the game. That other stuff is just for testing. This goes into my signature! Now Oblivion's world is a place where I can pour my hobby in photography. I love dressing up my characters, make them pose, find a good place, find a good lightning, a good angle then shoot! :DI also love creating a story with screenshots with my character as the main character, the others are actor and actresses.
