Weird CBBE Skin Bug

I tried to do things with bodyslide, trying to fix it. The problem though... I only show up on a settler, the old one at Greentop Nursery, I can't fix it... >_third As mods for body use CBBE, and as skin use Valkyr (body & face). The problem is: I can't solve the problem with the woman... Other people look like "normal"... The only one who seems to have that problem is her... and since she's one of those missions, I can't kill her either! xD I even tried to go back with the saves... to see if I could fix it, I reinstalled both CBBE, and Valkyr... but nothing seems to work... (Ah, uso anche Josie Bodyslide presets). Can someone help me?

Yeah, that bugged me as well. Turns out this NPC uses textures for old human female:

Textures\Actors\Character\OldHumanFemale\OldHumanFemaleBody_d.DDS

Textures\Actors\Character\OldHumanFemale\OldHumanFemaleBody_n.DDS

Textures\Actors\Character\OldHumanFemale\OldHumanFemaleBody_s.DDS

There are two options. Option 1: Get the body textures from CBBE and rename them, put them in that folder. The folder probably doesn't exist, so you need to create it. Or Option 2: grab and rename only the specular map from CBBE, get the normal and diffuse maps from a mod called Additional Body Textures.

I had that mods installed, then I took it off, maybe I have to put it back?

Yes, the mod has modular install with fomod, so you can install only the old female body textures. But I see that the mod has only diffuse and normal maps, which means you have to copy the specular map FemaleBody_s.dds, usually in the folder

Textures\Actors\character\basehumanfemale

Then paste it in folder

Textures\Actors\Character\OldHumanFemale

and rename it to OldHumanFemaleBody_s.dds

I had this issue with skyrim and after spending the last literal 10 hours working on it i found out you can move the body mesh from Fallout 4 to skyrim to fix it, and vice Versa. Now the Dovahkin looks Great, and it worked out decent

It's not a bug. It's a conflict between installed and used files. If you have the unique Player mod, for starters you need to hold the ctrl key when building a body so that a unique nif is created and not one that all females will use.

 

But mostly it's an error when installing Unique Player and not transferring the needed files to the right folders and BodySlide not knowing where to install/save what you do in BodySlide.

 

Create your new body, hold down CTRL and click Build. That places a new body mesh (femalebody.nif) in the BodySlide directory. Copy or move that new body mesh into Data\Meshes\actors\character\PlayerCharacterAssets. If you do not hold down CTRL when clicking build, like I said before, the new body goes to Data\Meshes\actors\character\CharacterAssets and is then used by ALL females in the game...

 

But before you start even to think about building a new body, you first need to copy the two 1st person files and two body & hands files from Data\meshes\actors\character\characterassets into Data\meshes\actors\character\PlayerCharacterAssets

 

The same with textures. Go to Data\textures\actors\character\basehumanfemale and copy 6 files (BaseFemaleHands_d.dds, BaseFemaleHands_n.dds, BaseFemaleHands_s.dds, femalebody_d.dds, femalebody_n.dds and femalebody_s.dds) into Data\textures\actors\character\PlayerHumanFemale.

 

Now you can use BodySlide.

 

Adapt your body, then hold down the CTRL button and click Build. Your new body mesh, femalebody.nif, will be located in the Data\Tools\BodySlide directory. Move that femalebody.nif to the Data\Meshes\actors\character\PlayerCharacterAssets folder and voila: a clean, spanking new body...

Hey I doubt you'd get back to me but I tried this today and it fixed the body but the hands are still messed up how can i fix it edit: i see where i screwed up

yeah so a good 3 years later and I don't understand this. I WAS having the same problem earlier, and I messed around a bit and now my character has no body or hands to speak of, just a grimy brown face that looks like a raisin. I've tried to find the files you all have talked about, the "1st person files" and the "hand and body files" and have found neither. I have reinstalled CBBE countless times now, and for some reason, the CBBE, CBBE physics, and CBBE nevernude now refuse to show up in the body slide preset menu. I have an abhorrent amount of mods installed, but I don't have the patience to uninstall and reinstall each and every one of them. Can anyone spare a few braincells to help me on this? I just wanna play some fallout with a realistic body TT^TT

Has nothing to do with moving files from one drive to another, but with the game's loading priorities and not having the right files in the correct folders. Carefully read what I wrote and all should work out fine.
