VGI
Espless Slofs Horse Replacer is an esp-less mod. The installation instructions for this mod is as follows: 3. Installation ***************************** 1) Download and install Slof's Oblivion Horses V2.0. This is required for the textures as they are not included with my mod.http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24312 OPTIONAL: From the Oblivion Launcher, select Data Files and check the box next to the Slof's Horses Base.esp file. I recommend this for maximum benefit, you will see much more diversity this way. I also recommend Slof's Extra Horses Pack located at the same download location listed above. 2) To install Espless Slof's Horse Replacer, unzip the files into the "Bethesda/Oblivion/Data" directory. Included in this file:meshes/creatures/horse/bridlemeshes/creatures/horse/bridle_dbmeshes/creatures/horse/hornmeshes/creatures/horse/horsemeshes/creatures/horse/horseblackmeshes/creatures/horse/horsechestnutmeshes/creatures/horse/horsegreymeshes/creatures/horse/horseheadmeshes/creatures/horse/horseheadblackmeshes/creatures/horse/horseheadchestnutmeshes/creatures/horse/horseheadgreymeshes/creatures/horse/horseheadpaintmeshes/creatures/horse/horsepaintmeshes/creatures/horse/lefteyemeshes/creatures/horse/lefteyebluemeshes/creatures/horse/lefteyeredmeshes/creatures/horse/manemeshes/creatures/horse/mane_blackmeshes/creatures/horse/mane_chestnutmeshes/creatures/horse/mane_greymeshes/creatures/horse/manelong_blackmeshes/creatures/horse/manelong_chestnutmeshes/creatures/horse/manelong_greymeshes/creatures/horse/maneromanmeshes/creatures/horse/maneroman_blackmeshes/creatures/horse/maneroman_chestnutmeshes/creatures/horse/maneroman_greymeshes/creatures/horse/righteyemeshes/creatures/horse/righteyebluemeshes/creatures/horse/righteyeredmeshes/creatures/horse/saddlemeshes/creatures/horse/saddle_dbmeshes/creatures/horse/tailmeshes/creatures/horse/tail_blackmeshes/creatures/horse/tail_chestnutmeshes/creatures/horse/tail_grey 3) If you would prefer to have saddlebags instead of regular saddles, copy the contents of the "Optional-Saddlebags" folder into the "Bethesda/Oblivion/Data" directory. These will overwrite:meshes/creatures/horse/saddlemeshes/creatures/horse/saddle_db I tried using OMOD to install it, so that I could easily activate and deactivate the mod without having to copy and delete each and every file. But I think it doesn't work. Because I don't see the files in the right directory. UPDATE: I have installed it using OMOD, as I have stated in my next replies. These files are in its proper places, as far as I can tell, but they are not doing any changes in the games. I still have the same horse, no "Slof improvements" or anything. The last time I configured OBMM to use the bsa redirection for archive invalidation, it just hanged/crashed the game. okokokok
After you create the OMOD you have to actually activate the OMOD.

LHammonds
Yes, and esp-less mod is called a "replacer" and this particular one replaces models and textures. The creation of the OMOD should be no different than any other mod...and once you create the OMOD you then need to activate it in order for it to copy the NIF and DDS files to Oblivion's Data directory. If you are having problems seeing it in-game, then you need to configure OBMM to use the bsa redirection for archive invalidation or some other method. Would you be kind enough to guide me? And yes, I am having difficulty seeing it in-game, particularly the saddlebags that my old nag-type horse should have now. HeyYou
On the main page of OBMM, on the right side, is a "Utilities" button. Click that, and it will bring up a context menu, Archive Invalidation will be one of the options. Select that one, and in the next window, make sure Archive ReDirection is selected, and then click the "update now" button at the bottom. Should be all there is to it. VGI
Tried it...didn't work. In fact, made it worse: For some reason, the mod for the eyes of my char gets deactivated and his eyes turn ugly. That also happens when I rebuild my wyre bash bashed patch file after installing Slof's Oblivion Horses V2.0, Espless Slofs Horse Replacer, Zira Horse Compilation Modpack, and Horse Commands v4. I think I'm over my mod limit. Edited May 25, 2011 by VGI
wetblanket
Did you unpack the mod and overwrite the meshes folder with the contents of the 'Optional-saddlebags' folder before making your omod? I don't think you can make an omod directly from the original archive because of the odd directory structure.
