Lodus
Here are the respective links: MSI Asus Basically, it's time to get a new gaming laptop. I know it's cheaper to build a desktop, however I don't have the room or time to do so. So in your opinions, which is the better purchase?
Vecna6667
I'm a bit partial to the Asus model. It is one of the few laptops that has a good cooling system. If my previous laptop could've lasted longer, I would've gotten the G73 instead of the G72 that I did get and the G73 is a larger version of the G53. Otherwise, both are just about equal. HeyYou
They are awfully similar.... given the statement above though, I would go with the Asus.
Themantogoto
My 2 cents? don't get a laptop you will get almost twice your money out of a self built desktop or better yet for LANs like I have a mini ITX form factor PC which fits in a backpack. I then have a netbook for just general word process and web applications otherwise laptops are a waste, parts become obsolete faster, you have to buy new batteries every 6-8 months which often cost as much as $150 in themselves, and even then the battery life on a gaming laptop typically does not exceed 3 hours if your lucky my netbook can get nearly 15 hours with the screen off. hoofhearted4
ive had two Asus G51 laptops die on me in under a year. they say gaming laptop, and they can handle games yes, but they cannot handle the constant use of playing games and being used. so with near $2k down the drain im building a desktop now
