jallard
I hope I don't make you screw your game, because I can't remember clearly all the steps. a) Download one of the face presets available on Nexus, a plugin, and the put it in your data folder; b) Load the GECK and select "data" menu, and in the list of mods that appears, make sure to put a tick beside the name of the downloaded plugin and select "set as active file" make sure you are selecting only the file to be modified c) Once the GECK finishes loading, you should see a list of every item in game on the left pane and the details on the right pane. Select the "NPC" category on the left pane and you should see a list of NPCs on the right pane. It's a huge list with every character in the game. The player and the presets appears listed too, I can't remember the exact name but the presets are named after the races "caucasian" "hispanic" etc. with numbers. Double click on the ID of preset you want to modify (Right pane) and a new window should open with the data for that preset. Select the "face advanced" or "face" tabs and tinker with the sliders or use the mouse to drag on the character portrait (Watch out, very sensitive and the window is small). Select "save" from the menu when done. Then use as any other plugin (Activate it in the launcher or the mod manager) and when making a new character, the modified preset should be there, among the others. I have a problem with that. When I click on data all that is in there are the files from FNV and not FO3. How do I get the files for FO3?
DFSL
What games do you have? If you have Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, each one of those games have an editor called GECK. Silly, I know, but for editing Fallout 3 you should have the GECK for that game and not the one for New Vegas. In fact, I don't know if the two can coexist because they hijack certain assets.I forgot to add, the NPC list I mentioned could be classified further according to gender, so you could have an extra click there, to reach those lists. I know and each time I try to install the one for FO3 it wants to reinstall the one for FNV. I have tried it a half dozen times. I also tried to select data with that one, because I have a preset there, but nothing happens. Nothing gets downloaded into the GECK. I appreciate all your help, but my patience has run its course and i am going to stop, before i have a heart attack. I will just stick with what works best Dragon Age Origins. At least there I have the freedom to create a Victory Secret model-- unlike in FNV and FO3. For me it's all about eye candy. Without it the game is no fun. But, that's just me. Thanks for all your help.
DFSL
It's a real pity I couldn't help you. And you want a model in your game? Well, friend, you are not as alone as you think. Check the pictures I post in Tesnexus (Click on my forum handle, then select Tesnexus profile and then Images) and the others posting characters there. Welcome to the club. I love women too, there's no need to stare at ugly male bottoms when playing a fantasy game.
BlackRampage
Check out the chic in the screen shoots "For a few poses more." I can't even get close to that.Wow, you certainly picked one there! I think that char is called "Nina" (don't pin me on that though.) She's obviously a custom race. Can't really find her race though, so either the author made it for him/her self or it's been removed from this site.

However, as far as trying to access the Dim Custom Races presets, by selecting data in the GECK, all that I see after it downs the files are the Vanilla races: The ones I am trying to avoid with a passion. I guess there is just no end to my nightmare.
DFSL
Yep, the preset are for the vanilla races. You'll see things like "caucasian001, caucasian0002" or something like that on the right pane. Unless you are modding your own race, you will have to alter the default presets. Don't worry, as long as the plugin is set as active, in other words the file to be modified, there's no real danger. You can always revert by simply replacing the file for the original or deleting it after deactivating it, as any simple mod. Unless you are doing a serious tinkering besides altering the default face features, because as you can see, the editor allows to modify all the content.I know this topic has been discussed in the forums before, maybe doing a search or reading the GECK wiki can give you more info. antonkr
I understand character creating in Oblivion was a bit.... meh but in fallout? Cosmetology? Surely if YOU were living and trying to survive after the bombs fell I am quite sure you wouldn't be wearing make up and a nice dress amirite?
