Twelvepak
I am new to modding and am trying to make a new home. I have downloaded and installed the Construction set, and went through a couple of different tutorials. These tutorials walked me through using house templates that are prepacked in the game. Fairly straightforward stuff and I was able to make these simple houses with relative ease. That is not what I want though. I want to design and build my own, but I can't find all the right parts and pieces in the construction set. When I try to find pieces, say walls for example, I can only find one or two different models, and they aren't even from the same culture of architecture. I used the standard oblivion esm to get my parts from, but I feel like I am missing something. This is where I need some help. I see all these great custom homes available for download, and I cant figure out how folks are doing it. I've tried looking through several of available links for help, but I can't find one that has what I'm looking for particularly, and a lot of the links don't seem to work. Can someone point me to a tutorial that goes a bit deeper than simply using a home model already in the game? PS: If there are other tools I need to make this happen, point those out to me as well ;) Thanks in advance.
MichikoUnknownFox
Actually the parts that come with Oblivion are really just movable pieces. That's why most houses, dungeons and whatnot in Oblivion look the same. They change the format a little bit, but it's really just the same "pieces". If you're really looking for a unique house, what you can do is download some modder's resources. Those are designed particularly for what you're trying to do. I've never made a house before, though, so you'll have to figure out how to do that stuff by yourself. The most I've done was add stuff to already existing custom houses.
