Settlement workshops crashes game

I'm hoping someone here can help because google has failed me. For the last few days every time I try to work on a settlement the game drops me right back to the desktop. Not even an error message. Doesn't seem to matter what save game I'm on or which settlement I'm in.

EDIT: this happens the moment I hit the workbench or hold V long enough to activate it. I never even see the UI come up before I'm back at the desktop.

Only Mod I'm running Full Dialogue Interface and even fully uninstalling it(including removing the additions to the ini files) doesn't help.

I read on the steam forums that deleting the workshop.swf helps, but I don't have a workshop.swf file to delete.

I'm having the same issue. When attempting to access the settlement workshop, I immediately crash with no error messages.

I have two mods manually installed; Full Dialogue Interface and Craftable Ammo.

I also do not have a workshop.swf file in my Interface folder.

Any ideas what's happening?

Built a new computer over the weekend. No more crashing. PC I was running it on before was only just handling the game on minimum settings. I guess 1.4 must have added something to push the game just outside of my old PC's abilities.

I'm running full ultra now. :D

Crash to Desktop (CTD) will ocure when accessing the Workshop because a file is missing or corrupted.

If you have disabled or deleted a mod that overwrote a file used by another mod, the game will CTD. NMM I have found, is notorious for this.

There are two solutions:

1) Disable all your mods, and re-enable them one at a time, checking if the problem has returned. Last mod enabled when it CTDs, is the culprit. You may find that the problem disappears because NMM essentually reinstalls the mod when you re-enable it.

2) Delete all your mods and reload from scratch. Again, check after each mod to ensure the problem doesn't reocure.

Here are some more CTD troubleshooting tips:

Hope this helps,
