CTD at main menu, no longer able to access data files

I had about 50 mods and everything was working perfectly until an update about a week ago. I fired the game up and none of my mods were active. I opened NMM and all of the plugins had been turned off. Now, when I start the game, it crashes after the opening splash screen, and I can't access the hidden data files menu in the launcher, despite having all my .ini files set up like they should be. I installed everything through NMM, and have tried F4SE, bypassing the launcher, opening through Steam and verifying the integrity of my files, nothing has worked.

I assume that if the problem was with an individual mod, I'd still be able to access Data Files in the launcher. I feel like whatever causes my game to crash with mods enabled is keeping me from accessing Data Files. Can anyone help me here?

What do you mean by "hidden data files" ? I assume that you ticked all the mods active again after noticing they were off, correct? If it's crashing immediately before the main menu can show that usually indicates a missing Master.

I'm talking about the hidden data files menu in the launcher that's accessed by clicking near the eye of the power armor suit. Where you would normally be able to see all the .esm's and .esp's in other Bethesda games. That menu won't even open despite having my .ini files set up correctly.

Pretty sure Bethesda deleted that menu from the launcher after the first patch or two. (Think it was the same patch that wiped out everyone's plugin.txt)

Yeah, I just checked to be sure and there are no data files, plugin list or any similar in/on launcher. Update your game is step #1. Check to make sure your folders are not read only cause you don't have an updated launcher or game from what you are describing. Does F4SE say anything when you launch through it? The game should be 1.4.132 for newest and F4SE should be 0.1.8
