Settlers Resetting

I dunno, if I'm having this problem because of a mod or not, but for some reason, my settlers keep changing. Like if I leave them, their whole appearances and everything changes, they don't keep any of their equipment, and they become different settlers. They still keep their jobs and what not, but everything else changes. Is there anyone else having this problem?

Cell reset bug? Sounds like it. I think you would need to remove mods that change that area, as in the worldspace cells in that location, so where you were at when you had the problem an 24 cells around it, couldn't be touched. Though I bet if you look maybe you would find a fix for it. PA would cell reset an we fixed it. The fix was placing new items, so it could be as simple as using a settlers mod, one that makes them male/female pretty/ugly an such, in other words custom settlers. The game still might load them in the default state, but it's worth a shot.

I was thinking along those lines, I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem. I was hoping it wasn't something due to the mods, as I have only two settler mods.

They are, Mostly Female NPCs by Psymon2 (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4916/?) and Rez's Settler Makeover by RayV12 (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8080/?) .

Since I had only two settler mods, I was hoping it wasn't just the mods. If anyone else can give in their input, and how to fix this problem, that doesn't mean uninstalling the mods, I'd be thankful for a solution.

Yea, I'm having this problem too. My settlers keep resetting. Also, I think the PA Cell reset is different than this problem, plus it was never really solved, more like an improvised solution. The PA Cell reset only affected the PA's found in the open world, and to not have it reset, you have to either make your own PA Frame or buy it. I think this Settler Bug is different.

Please, if anyone has a solution, please share. I wish to continue being a Tyrannical Male Raider with a Harem!! T_T can't a guy dream?

Rez's Settler Makeover states on the info page the mod will clash with any other mod that somehow alters the settler's looks, so that's where your problem lies ;)

That's the thing though, I've stopped using it and only use Mostly Female NPC's (Settlers Only Version) only now. I still get my settlers resetting, the problem still persists. I thought that maybe it had something to do with the fact that I was using console spawned settlers. So I tried to use settlers gained through the vanilla way, recruitment radio, and it still turns out the same.

Some of my old settlers don't reset, but if I give them new equipment, they begin to reset. Since KimberJ says it could be a mod affecting the "World", could it be any mod that modifies spawns? I have the More Spawns mods, could that be causing the problem? If so, how come it's acting up only right now? I didn't have this problem until my Fallout 4 decided to update.

A mod usually over-writes some files in a certain folder. Deleting the mod will take away its functionality, but will not take away the over-written file. You'll have to restore the original files in order to get your settlers to react "normally"...

Try-out Better Settlers --this is a link to a patch for Better Setters and Beautiful Settlers etc., which I all use without any problems; have a look at those, links are on the page

Also, patch 1.4 seems to have caused more harm than good with some players, including yours truly...

Well, that's the thing, my settlers started resetting even though I had yet to delete the mod. It was working just fine until the recent Fallout 4 Patch, that's when everything started to f*#@ up.

Also, I've tried the Better Settlers mod, I still get the same results.
