filledb
I know that this has been requested before but wouldn't it be possible just to take a scope from one of the weapons as a standalone scope for those of us who don't want to unlimber a weapon to get a close look at the terrain? I understand that it would be a heck of a job to create a pair of binoculars from scratch, but a simple good scope would do the job....
chucksteel
Here is what I have on this so far. works in game as a melee weapon but I can't get it to zoom in yet. Edited March 9, 2016 by chucksteel
Courier07
Wouldn't it be easier to do it the same way NV did, as a one handed pistol weapon? That way, you could use it for stuff like spotting for artillery strikes and the like, along with allowing the user to bash peoples heads in with the melee key. chucksteel
I have a few WIP version but I still haven't gotten any of them to zoom and can't figure that out yet. I have a pistol version based on the 10mm but the use the scope zoom didn't work and it would still shoot even when removing everything that I thought I needed too. :wallbash: I'm not really a weapons modder in the first place so I wanted to get the models working first then go from there. pipes1004
I am working on a spotting scope and a range finder if that is something you might be looking for
Deleted3507349User
You might take a look at Binoculars and Portable Scopes for Fallout 3. I would imagine it would work the same way.
Daedelus114
I've been wanting binoculars for a while now too! I don't care if they have any other bells or whistles, I'd just love something with a high zoom level and no crosshairs. I've been spoiled by games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Actually.... I kinda do want some bells & whistles: I've seen people suggest having Recon Binoculars, that might be a cool upgrade. But the single biggest thing I've been wanting is a way to mark map locations!!! I can't stand not being able to set map marks if there's a marked location within 20 miles!!!!! It'd be cool to have the trigger for the binoculars bring up a quick menu with the options of: [set Map Marker][Call Minutemen] (if applicable for Minuteman quests)[Call Artillery Strike] (if applicable for Minuteman quests)[Call Missile Strike] (if applicable)etc....
