xab666
Say what. thats what i though, I actually had to google itfor one thing, your probably going to have to kill the number of polygons in 3ds max or blender, or w/e tool you're using to collect point data anyway.you need a obj file that you can import into nifskope, where you can fix the shaders more info? are you talking about an industrial 3d scanner? like the $5000+ variety? those probably have stupidly high resolutions p.s. <-- thats amazing Edited June 4, 2011 by xab666
Ghogiel
You scanned a book with a 3d scanner? This is not the movie weird science.. you'll get a 3d model of a book if that is the case
huntsman2310
if you want to have a 3d model of a weapon scanned, you need a actual replica or model of the weapon, not the book. The 3d scanner will just make a 3d model of a book instead. P.S a easier way for modelling would be to get a picture or something and use that as a template if you have Blender. TheTalkieToaster
Oh wow, this guy must have been banned from the Bethesda forums. He keeps (kept, hopefully) posting in NV General asking if the GECK v2 is going to be released, and seems to be convinced it contains a scanner that can read objects from 2d images. His evidence for this is he saw a picture of a gun in a book that looks just like the 9mm pistol- therefore Obsidian have been scanning items into Vegas. Probably shouldn't mock him, as I expect he has some sort of mental illness.
