(HELP) Game is to EASY

It seems you don't really balance your game right.

. I think its because I have a follower, it basically tank and takes the damage for me and I just shoot my bow.

I don't know, it just seems like I'm being punished for using the resources that I know. If I don't use a follower, I'll resort to conjuration summoning or something.

But then... if I don't use any followers at all. These bandits will 2 shot me LITERALLY making the game unplayable or perhaps I'm doing something wrong to prevent it.

If you were an archer, and fighting in clear view, why are you not using heavy armor?

Sometimes it tanks like 3 bandits but before my follower fell to the ground, the 3 bandits just dead from me shooting them with a bow before it does anything.

That is what a bow should do however.

And you said before, you die from one hit. While you are strong, you die really fast. That is balanced and fair play.

Did you try another follower type?

For me, if I was a light armored archer with summons. I would sneak close and try to take another archer or two if I had the time. Then run away to draw the bow for another shot. Maybe set runes and walls first hand and draw my foes to them.

Because Heavy Armor suck bad. You can hit armor cap with light armor.

How do you even kill crap with a bow on legendary when you start from the beginning because my character only does like... 1-5% damage per shot depending whether its a simple bandit or a marauder. Does deadly combat buff bows?

Easy, just shoot the crap and if it gets close to you! Run away or use fus and then run away to get a distance and shoot it again. If it gets you, heal yourself.

But heavy armor hit it faster, stop stagger and more depends on the overhaul you are using.

And have you seen the light armor in this game? They look really bad.

You can also try robes and flesh spells.

It buffs damage overall.

OP, I suggest two mods:

-Deadly Combat

This mod, all in all, will leave you in tears for a while into any playthrough. No longer will a level 40 PC be able to mess up a level 60 bandit...oh hell no.

You will be staggered, murdered, and enraged. Good Luck

-Ultimate Combat

I got this plainly for its "hardcore damage" toggle in the Mod Manager. It spices things up a bit, to say the least.

-TK Dodge

An updated and (recently) much faster mod that implements a common ability (dodge) that many RPG fighting games have used for ages into Skyrim. It's a little weird at first but can save you from the death you'll see a lot with the two mods above.

-Attack Commitment

Not for everybody, but it surely makes things interesting and dynamic. Say you're a real knight or whatnot and you do a strong ass attack like you're holding down the left mouse button...are you able to change your direction mid-propulsion? Are you able to magically air bend yourself willy-nilly with a sword or battleaxe? No! When you strike at something or swing, you can't change your direction mid-swing, you commit. That's exactly what this mod does. I love it. And Dodging^(TK Dodge) and taking advantage of an enemy's misplaced and committed attack can really make things tactical and fun! But be wary, for this applies to you as well!

If you need a video to help explain the last two mods mentioned above, check out Brodual's spotlight on them:

I'm using Ultimate Combat with Deadly Dragon, TK Dodge and Attack Commitment right now without a follower and its proving quite a bit of fun challenge.

True its slow to hit cap on light armor but I prefer light armor since I'm more of a sneak type of character and also when you get into a battle, you gotta be fast and heavy armor slow you down.

This week I installed the excellent SkyTweak, and it allows you to create whole new dynamics and also replacing a ton of smaller mods. You can change tons of combat variables, but also create economic inflated price, which you would expect in a country ravaged by civil war. I combine it with scarcity 10x, and expensive investments. Together with frostfall and ineed it proves quite a challenge to stay alive as it is...

  • 4 months later...

Now, I have completly different problem. It is not like I can't defeat someone or something like that. Shouts would make it easy, a specially with slowing down time, or those that came out with Thunderchild.

Point is different. I often hear, that people are able - as said above in this topic - put down a dragon with their fists.
I now try to fight as a normal warrior, without shouts, without magic, without enchanments. Only classic steel armor. Yet, even while my character is boosted by spending dragon souls on health (and magic and stamina) and already on 99 level with every stat around 500, he could be taken out by 8-10 strikes from Bandit Chief or 5-7 bites from Legendary Dragon. Of course when I don't do anything, just stand and let them hit.
When I read that people are barely affected by that kind of attacks, I am just getting mad.

I play on Adpet, I have many mods, but none of mentioned here that affects combat. In combat section of mods in NMM, I have only Warzone 2015. In weapons: Immersive Weapons. Armors shouldn't affect it, but I have Immersive Armors & Daedric Reaper Armors.
Also notable ones like Skyrim Immersive Creatures, Hunterborn, Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim and Deadly Dragons (but their physical attacks are not boosted in it's menu).

I use Ordinator, but when I turned it off, my character still had the same results.

My point in leveling character is to create new Talos. But if some freak from cave can kill me, what kind of chance would it have with any Daedric Prince?
