DDProductions83
NOT RECRUITING OR EVEN CONSIDERING VA'S AT THIS TIME I am currently penning the main story-line for Episode 1 of my Vault 273 series, and decided it is time to start a recruitment thread for it. This is not your normal recruitment thread. 99% of them out there are looking for me, or someone like me to implement their 'Idea' and do the legwork. Well, I am looking for people to come up with ideas, to write scenarios, to do the concept art for the macro dungeon Ideas I need for my main story and we can implement them. For those who don't know me, here is my resume http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/users/8671518/?. We have already started creating assets and storyboarding for the quest series, which will see the player helping a expedition from North England that has come to the commonwealth searching for an elusive Vault. My Prelude quest already available here http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7710/? sets the foundation for the starting point of the quest series. The quests planned are episodic, told in chunks to alleviate production time and give a sense of completion for those of us working on it without having to wait years. The one thing I do very well is work fast. I have way too much free time and I am very very quick at what I do. While I do not expect anywhere near the level of work, speed etc from anyone who signs on, what I do expect is competence and communication. I have been down the road of trusting and recruiting wishy washy people before and it burned some projects of mine really bad. I will drop people without hesitation who fail to communicate at the very least. I know it is for free etc, but other people are putting in tons of time and effort and do not deserve to have to work with a non-communicative wall. Episode 1 of the quest-line will see the player teaming up with a group of Gunners to hunt a faction of Super Mutants through some abandoned tunnels to a secret Vault-Tec Facility. I am loath to give away too much more, though anyone following me has probably gleaned a decent amount about the overall arch of the quest line. Anyone who has a decent resume that want's more information is welcome to it. I will be likely writing up a short summary draft of Episode 1's quest-line to give out to people. What I am looking for is as follows. -Writers: Primarily for events and encounters and minor sidequests that would take place to help the overall theme of the episode. Also people who want to setup ambiance, be it through holotape logs ALA Bioshock, or logs in computers to flesh out the pre-war story of a area. -Concept artists: Primarily for dungeon design, but can also apply to weapons and armor and even clutter. -Dungeon designers and Clutters: This is the one where I fall totally short. I can usually make the grand layout of a dungeon but I am horrible at believable clutter. We can also utilize extra dungeons attached to our main hubs in order to tell stories and sidequests etc. -3D Modelers and texture artists: MasterBleu is currently working hard on some of the assets we will primarily need for the questlines, but the more the merrier and we can take anything from custom weapon designs to armor and clutter and tilesets. In the service of full disclosure, if Paid modding ever does become a thing, I fully intend to utilize it for a project of this magnitude. Any prices I set will be fair and reasonable, unlike what we had seen previously. I pay all my voice actors who cross over a certain threshold of lines already, whether paid modding happens or not. If it does happen and is implemented in any decent way (Ya ya we know its bethesda it'l be a crapshoot) we would discuss percentage profits etc with anyone directly working on the project before moving forward. Please do yourself a favor and if you are for some reason 100% against working on a mod that could be put up for sale should the opportunity arise, do not apply for any position. Please provide some sort of a resume for what you are applying for. I realize that this is all pro-bono at the moment, but I am not taking any random Joe anymore off the forums. I picked a project and setting that I could complete myself alone, and I will do so if I have to before taking unqualified people to help. They tend to be more a burden than a boon. seekingthesun
Voice actors? I can do a great Ghoul, it's a variation on a Tom Waits impression. HahaI could potentially help write.I'm just beginning with tools. I did a little with the GECK in New Vegas but it was frustrating and time consuming to do anything. 'Potentially' help write doesn't fill me with confidence :P
Ekayne
If cluttering is just taking a map in the form of .esp and adding clutter I volunteer as tribute. as for writing, I'm a bit of jack of all trades, so count me in. also if you give me a heads up as to when the voice acting recruitment goes live, I need some new VA jobs too. Haha ya, I am pretty good at dungeon setup like the cells, but cluttering it with little s#*! drives me insane, not to mention I'm terrible at it

DarthWayne
I could do some level design. Preferred exterior, but interior should also work somehow if needed. Here some examples of my work: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63801/?http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10603/? The Skyrim mod took me like 1000 hours, so I am definitely not fast. I used it to learn all the CK stuff though... I can also do scripting (worked as Java developer for a few years) and some simple 3d modeling/editing. I have few other ideas that I want to spend a lot of time in with CK. Maybe some of them could even be connected with your quest. Anyway I think I could spare some hours per week. Would be interesting to work on a team project :D
minngarm
I can do some writing on it, depending on what you need, overall character setup and what not, or just past articles if need be. Edited March 20, 2016 by minngarm
