redneck1st Posted June 8, 2011 Share Posted June 8, 2011 In Loredo's estate area I was told about a chest or crate located behind loredos house that had part of a trap for which is needed for the Kayran only thing is How do I get passed the guard to get to the rear of the house. When I tried one time I was taken directly to Loredo and now every time I try I get a crossbow pointed at me and told 'No Passage". I've tried talking to all in the area but to no avail. I've tried talking to all in the area but to no avail.Wait til Roche distracts the guard then go to the right of the rock that`s in the middle of the aisle . Note if you press the Z button it will highlight objects in the area . You should see a bucket that if you hit it will make noise and attract the other guards attention your objective is to stun 2 guards by sneaking up on them and stun them "batman style" then using the Z key search all the chests the object your looking for is an iron frame . Once you have it then climb onto the "deck" so you can hear Laredo and the sorceress talking . I usually make a save just after Roche distracts the main guard and if your quest fails then lather , rinse , and repeat . Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

After going through the trouble of making the trap and then getting smacked around a couple of times trying to set the darned thing i really wasn`t all that impressed by the trap . Of course i`ll need to try it again a couple more times...so we`ll see . Glad to see you found the answer but just in case someone else wants to know .No the kayran trap is not necessary to finish the quest . BarefootWarrior Posted June 28, 2011 Share Posted June 28, 2011 Just to add to this, just before Roche distracts the guards a merchant approaches you to talk. If you refuse (as I did accidentally ), the steel frame is not there..heh. Imagine my surprise. But as Tommy said above, the trap isn't needed.
