Grey chrome textures bug?

Hi, I am having problems with chrome textures turning up grey or black and the only way to fix it is to load saves over again and again until it fixes itself for the duration of the time I am playing the game, but after I quit then open Fallout again it goes back to the same problem. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix such a bug? My only logical explanation behind this bug is conflicting textures or mods that have messed up the reflections.

As you can see in the photos, the 10mm pistol, laser rifle and even power armor are among those affected.

I would upload some images if Nexus Forums weren't so restrictive with the image uploads XD

It's been a known bug for awhile now....some people say it's a NVIDIA card problem, some say it's running too many textures/mods, while I've also heard it's a VRAM issue....I usually just restart the game and it fixes itself, sometimes I restart the computer as well.

Any ideas? Even restarting my computer doesn't work. :( The game is looking quite ugly without reflection maps.

I hate this problem. I hope someone fixes it. Totally takes me out of the game.

 

Just curious though, has anyone figured out a solution or a mod that causes the problem?

I know what fixed it for me....I had to get rid of enhanced blood textures because some gray part was overriding the chrome parts. I know that's not technical, but by uninstalling Enhanced Blood Textures I can now run around in an all chrome PA suit (well, as long as I have Worsin's PA mod).

For anyone having issues with chrome parts, check if you haven't installed at some point a mod editing puddle and glass fake reflections.

Could it be related to changes on an ini file in the Documents folder? Does anyone know how to disable/enable these kinds of reflections?

Crap.. I'm having the same issue, and it looks like no one has found a solution...
