Will the DLC tommorow break mods?

I built a very shiny institute-themed workshop for my robot build station, upgraded Ada with new goodies, then built a red, floating Assaultron that only speaks in clicks. She now sells food.

 

I think as long as your mods were all working correctly before and you make sure your load order is good, then the DLC shouldn't break anything. That meaning, if something broke, it wasn't setup correctly before, and it's just super obvious now. I'm sure there will probably be keyword cap issues if you haven't been very vigilant about ensuring AWKCR/SK compatibility of things you're installing (or making your own patches for things that don't have them). I've yet to notice any (not saying there aren't any for certain, but I did some weapon upgrading and crafting and other crap and didn't notice anything missing).

 

Though the DLC did break something. My character's loadout. I didn't have anything for killing robots :geek: (though bumrishing them with an incendiary spear with extra blades added does work hilariously well).

I can't get into the game. I can get to the main menu, but as soon as I try starting a new game (I deleted my old saves, was done with that game), it just continues to play the music and that background video. So yes, the DLC breaks mods.

 

 

 

Its not certain that all mods are save.. but if i look at your load order, it differs from mine. So first use LOOT to sort your load order, and try again.

So I have an interesting problem, I'm not sure what's going on. Running Wrye Flash, I get a message saying that DLCRobot.esm is Missing String Localization Files. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the DLC, still getting the same message. It's the only mod, at least in Wrye, that is showing any sort of error.

LOOT isn't really up to date with correct load order requirements and doesn't always know where conflicts will occur. You really should read Wax2k's guide. He and several mod authors have come up with some really good guidelines.

Try to disable CSEMod.esp mod and try again.

It's not the DLC it's starting a new game conflicts with the CSEMod script,you can turn it back on afterwards.

HA! That worked. Thanks! So basically just get the game going, save, turn CSE back on, and I should be good?

I was completely expecting the DLC to break everything, but it seems most mods are unaffected by it. Considering it added it's own workbench rather then adding recipes to the others, and added it to the fairly unmodcluttered special category rather then the bench category, conflicts have been kept to an absolute minimum. Guess you'll just have to wait for the next patch to break everything again instead!
