I'm getting the same issue.

I was able to narrow it down to either Homemaker, Spring cleaning or both, at least in my load order, disabling those mods for the duration of that final battle to leaving the Mechanist's Lair seems to temporary fix it, but just now I went back the the Mechanist's Lair and left and got another crash

OK I just went back and identified Spring Cleaning as the culprit, again, at least in the case of my load order.

sc works fine with the add on, i use it always and it din't cause any trouble

hmm yeah, I went back and played some more without it but now the crashes happen a while after fast traveling away from the place, but with sc the crashes happen as soon as I leave the lair, so it must be a combination of mods rather than one mod in particular.

hoping it can get fixed soon I don't really want to get rid of any of these mods

So, I disabled Pleasant UI - and it still crashed. I disabled DEF_INV 3. It still crashed. I disabled them both, and it didnt crash. I left all of my other 127 mods installed and only disabled those two.

So, Im guessing that it is ANY UI mod that is conflicting. As someone said - maybe due to a compass icon?

So, to recap:

Just disable any UI mod you have. (At least Plesant and DEF).

Start game and load your last save inside Mechanist's lair.

Save your game.

Reload the "clean" save,

Walk outside and breath the fresh air.

It worked for me perfectly. It allowed me to fast travel out and back to lair. No problems.

Good luck. :)

Confirmed! Disabling DEF_UI fixed it for me. Thank you!

If you left via console or fast travel, you can still use your newest save. Just travel back there and it works.

My hero! i can also confirm that disabling ui mods fixes the problem,i had Pleasant UI and i got crash without error any time i got close to County Crossing now it works without a problem! thank you so much :D
