EnterSevenSeven
Wouldn't it be crazy if all the developers that were hacked joined together to say "we're halting the development of future games until the perpetrators are caught."? Too bad the gaming community isn't that united. Edited June 13, 2011 by Enter_77
Halororor
Wouldn't it be crazy if all the developers that were hacked joined together to say "we're halting the development of future games until the perpetrators are caught."? Too bad the gaming community isn't that united. That wouldn't work, because game developers actually need to make money to keep going, and the publishers wouldn't condone it. Halting production until the perpetrators are caught means development time is being lost, therefor the money making parts are getting pushed further into the future. Halororor
Lulzsec just took down the Eve online and Minecraft login servers. This is beyond annoying. Is school out for summer already in America? Edited June 14, 2011 by Halororor

Halororor
It was sarcasm, because the entire thing stinks of teenage boredom. :P I was forced to change login information for most of the sites I frequent, because after I responded to one of their tweets on twitter, somebody posted my facebook profile ID to them. :/
Gracinfields
Well last week or so the Chinies government tried to hack into Google to gain access to gmail for people on their watch list. After being caught and google point the fingure at the Chiness as they tracked it down to the town and location of Origin. On that following Monday the Chiness blamed the US for starting this Cyber war. If their behind this isn't a cyber war this is a cyber ____ storm and it needs to stop. hector530
LOL conspiracy thories. This hacking is done by a group or person named lulzsec. And he's a troll he makes it very clear. All his hacking isnt of a criminal nature it's more of prank (that's what he think but its still a crime). The guy seems like a douche doing random acts of douchery. Also that's no way in hell hes in America. He wouldnt be hacking us government sites just to put "lulz" if he lived here, it be much easier to find him and it would give him a lot of jail. So if his in another county like I think he is. If and when he's found they won't ship him to the USA for trial unless he's a murder. It isn't that big of a deal for hacking foreign sites but domestic one yes it is.
Halororor
I think LulzSec has made it very clear by now that they're a group, and not a single individual. Edited June 15, 2011 by Halororor
JimboUK
Sega now, I just got the following email... Dear Jim, As you may be aware, the SEGA Pass system has been offline since yesterday, Thursday 16 June. Over the last 24 hours we have identified that unauthorised entry was gained to our SEGA Pass database. We immediately took the appropriate action to protect our consumers’ data and isolate the location of the breach. We have launched an investigation into the extent of the breach of our public systems. We have identified that a subset of SEGA Pass members emails addresses, dates of birth and encrypted passwords were obtained. To stress, none of the passwords obtained were stored in plain text. Please note that no personal payment information was stored by SEGA as we use external payment providers, meaning your payment details were not at risk from this intrusion. If you use the same login information for other websites and/or services as you do for SEGA Pass, you should change that information immediately. We have also reset your password and all access to SEGA Pass has been temporarily suspended. Additionally we recommend you please take extra caution if you should receive suspicious emails that ask for personal or sensitive information. Therefore please do not attempt to login to SEGA Pass at present, we will communicate when the service becomes available. We sincerely apologise for this incident and regret any inconvenience caused. We are contacting all our members with these recommendations. If you have any further questions please contact SEGA customer support on [email protected]
