jeremieg
ok, so I was playing with a ton of mod for more than 100 hours without problems, but then suddenly I had a problem with textures that i really couldn't fix so I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it via steam. So to enable modding i once again went to the ini files and added the lines that are necessary, I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the mods via Mod Manager but none of them are working. Can anyone plz help me, I've been trying to fix the game for days :( For my ini files, the changes that i've made were : adding "bEnableFileSelection=1" under [Laucher] in fallout4prefs adding "bInvalidateOlderFiles=1" and "sResourceDataDirsFinal=" under [Archive] in fallout4custom I havent touched touched the other ini file called Fallout4.ini
ddavies10693
Did you uninstall the mods before uninstalling the game? You could try properly uninstalling all mods, then uninstalling and reinstalling NMM, then getting the mods again.
jeremieg
yes I did. i've just realise something tho, Mod Manager isnt installing the mods. For cbbe for example it will act as if it is installing normaly, but when I go look into the game files it just installed empty folders, the texture files are not there. JimmyRJump
Also, make sure that in the Nexus Mod Manager, on the plug-in tab, all ESP boxes are ticked. Seems silly to point out, but a lt of folks overlook this...
ddavies10693
Ok, you will definitely need to do a full re-install of NMM (unless the esps aren't checked like he mentioned above ^^). NMM uses so many temp files, virtual logs, caches, and other different things that keeping the same install after something like this is almost impossible. Hope this helps. jeremieg
@jimmyrjump thats not it either. And the game directory is set up correctly in Mod Manager. And I've tried re-downloading mods on the nexus and it still doesnt work Edited March 23, 2016 by jeremieg
JimmyRJump
...()...NMM uses so many temp files, virtual logs, caches, and other different things...()...Yeah, NMM is a bit of a pain up the (insert body part of choice here) when re-installing. Despite having done away with everything (I could think of) after a re-install of both the game and NMM, it still showed all previously enetered .esp files while not a single mod was installed. Go figure...
ddavies10693
While the game directory path is the same, it isn't technically the same exact folder as it was before because you reinstalled the game. That's what I talking about with the caches and temp folders, that's their purpose. If you can't get anything to work at all, what have you got to lose by trying a reinstall of NMM?
