crudius
Hi im new to Oblivion and have been trying, unsucessfully to install the HGEC into the game can some one break the steps down into idiot terms a non computer savvy guy can understand thanks What tools are you using? or trying to manually install? If you have'nt got it already, download OBMM Oblivion Mod Manager (cant link, site down). Download that when you can and then let that do the hardwork....you're gonna have to do some reading though, but you can create OMODS and a lot of mods come with the omod info already included. Makes it pretty easy to do.

Striker879
An option if you're having trouble setting up your own OMOD is to download a pre-made OMOD. I personally use Rivelle's HGEC Body with BBB v1dot11 to set my games default body (most common body sizes available to chose from) and then use electrro's BBB Designer body spell to add variety to the game. Rivelle's mod comes as an OMOD and electrro's is as simple as extracting the download to a temporary folder using 7-zip, right clicking the Data folder in the extracted archive and select copy, and then right click your Oblivion folder and select paste (always paste into one folder level higher than you copy). bben46
Using OBMM -1. Download the HGEC mod, put it in a place where you can easily find it - I use Downloads>Games>Oblivion> HGEC ( a separate folder for each download makes it so much easier to find things) and do not make any changes (don't unzip it)2. Start OBMM, look down at the bottom of the main screen and find the block that says 'Create' click on it3. On the create pop up screen, Select 'Add Archive' Navigate through the file tree that appears to find where you saved the mod. Select the zipped mod.4. After a few seconds, a pop up should appear with the message that OMOD conversion data is available. Click YES. This only shows if the author included the OMOD conversion data as part of the mod.5 Wait a few minutes for your hard drive to stop chattering, then click the 'Create OM' block. 6. Wait a few minutes and it should give the message OMOD created and you should see the HGEC appear in the right panel of the main screen.7. Activate the new OMOD (click on the green block. - it should turn blue.) As HGEC is a mesh and texture replacer, there is NO esp file to show on the mod list - that is normal - if it shows as blue it should be working. Start your game and undress a female NPC to see if it works. NOTE: The HGEC mod does not change faces. You need a different mod for that.

gyang79
I finally got it to work using OBMM, but my character only displays one set of options from HGEC I thought I would be able to toggle between options in the character edit portion of the game
LFact
I finally got it to work using OBMM, but my character only displays one set of options from HGEC I thought I would be able to toggle between options in the character edit portion of the game This game allows only one body type per gender. So it's not possible to choose different body shape in-game, unless using wearable body parts trick.
