tkdmaster
Umm, in general, pc cases do not have them already, you need to add one. As for which one, try newegg's section on em, picked up a Dual Layered Lightscribe LG DVD-RW drive for 20 bucks and had dozens for 5 egg reviews. lostone1993
just find one that matches what you want, other then that reasearch the manufacture to make sure they are reliable, Ive been able to use my burner for the last 8 years and it is still going well :)
Illiad86
Plextor makes some awesome DVD drives...a little more expensive than most but they are super quiet. Pioneer is also a great brand. Pretty much, any of them will be good. I wouldn't suggest getting an ASUS one though. My boyfriend bought one of those and 2 of them died in a few months. Luckily newegg has great RMA and even if it wasn't within warranty, DVD drives are cheap :)
prandiningrat
I've bad experience with an ASUS too, not only once..maybe DVD drives are not related to the republic..Sometims DVD drives are picky with the quality of disc, they won't write if the disc is cheap otherwise when discs are pricey they will write flawlessly..(no matter burner software you are using).. urbex
I've never needed one personally, have an external that's been collecting dust.
Vagrant0
I wouldn't spend too much on a DVD drive, at the most I would look for something that is writable so you can burn DVDs for data storage and backup. I've been using one that is now almost 10 years old from 1 1/2 builds ago without many issues. You could even use one from an old PC if it's in good condition.
