Rational314
You can't blame EA totally because of it though. So far DICE, EA and retailers are to blame over exclusive DLC. I've been trying to tell you guys but you don't listen. We don't know enough to make a conclusive claim that X did that and it isn't really healthy to do so. No. It's EA choice to create exclusive DLC, the retailers ask for it, simple as that. Just like with every other company, the retailers ask for the dlc to boost pre sales, and the publishers give it to them. Stop deflecting the blame from EA. The company has the choice to say no to dlc and they choose not to.

It isn't about "stronger weapons" since most weapons have a variety of strengths and weaknesses or specific attributes that make them better in certain situations than others. Then there are the exclusive preorder maps... The thing that ticks MOST people off is that these things are exclusive items which can't be gotten any other way than through a pre-order, and changes depending on where you preorder from. So any potential benefits become exclusive just to those who participated in some sort of marketing incentive.

Thelionheart
To all of those who might say that they shall ignore the pre-order DLC please please please please PLEASE. He makes great points and is quite intelligent even though he is clearly angry over it. Guys, come on, you should put your principles above this game. We are going to be getting Skyrim, Rage, and a bunch of other awesome games this year. You can skip this one. on another note EA is pulling things from steam due to upper management decisions, for more info visit this thread I started on Reddit which contains a live chat log with EA customer support. I am quoting myself because I think the information I wrote and the links I posted are very import concerning this subject matter. I implore you all to watch that video. Even if you do not agree with his opinion or to the extent his emotions take him, he nonetheless still proves some good points. Even if you think that this matter is trivial and inconsequential; it is still to your long term benefit to express discontent (even if it is fake) with what EA is doing. This is because of a little thing called incrementalism. Incrementalism is the gradual change or shift in something. This will happen because EA is a company that is all about net profit. If they are not financially hurt by this, then what is to stop them from implementing more ridiculous ways of getting money? The public has to take a stand at some point, or else we will be bent over and slapped on the *** until we have to pay money just to get voice overs. yoba333
Personally, I play Hardcore mode. So someone having a better gun doesn't really make that much of a difference to me.

The same thing happens with other products as well (who remembers ME2 Dr Pepper).
Gracinfields
@Hector I live in the US as well EA hasn't even released that info yet as they wanted to put out the pack for the British pack first. We might see the saw weapon back at places like Gamestop of someplace else. Then they might have another pack or two for other places. As for the exlusive map pack meaning Back to Karkand that is a general release to all who pre-order BF3, which will then become avaible one month post release. However I think the pre-order for the limited edition is just a ploy as it will be avaible on all limited editions. I was at Gamestop today and they had Crysis 2 Limited edition New for the PC and it stated it containted the code for the Pre-order bonuses. I seen the same box at best buy as well, Pretty much anyone who buys the Limited edition box will be getting the map pack. From what I have read on some of the post the items Like the Type 88 LMG, the Flash Suppressor, and flechette ammo however will only be for those that get it from a certain store. EA said doing this is rewarding the players for their Loyality to EA, but all it really does is force people to go hunting and pick and choice weapon packs for a game were all the weapon and MP should be avaible to the player, in some form other then pre-order bonus only. If you watch TB's video he makes it quite clear on the communities anger is. I know one thing if they say that Amazon or Direct 2 Drive gets an HK 416 or Hk 417, or the Barrett 468 I would totally freaken Flip out on EA. Heck that would anger me enough to say F EA and their BS and I am not buying anything more from that Publisher, thus even giving up and seeing what Happens in ME3 just because some pencil pushing jerk wants bonus that draw people for a certain store for Multiplayer content. If it was single player I could honestly care less, why because the game play only effects me. You can say oh, I am not likely to actually follow though with my boycott. I Have a running record on CoD games sence CoD 1. When I saw CoD 1 I saw a Medal of Honor clone and said no I am not going to put up with this BS, so I never got a CoD Game. I have a personaly Boycott against the Xbox because I don't see a good reason Microsoft should be in the console gaming industry as all their going to do is just slow development down of software, and make games that would be great games on the PC Xbox exclusive.I boycotted AION after their anti Hack systerm Gameguard disabled my antivirus software attempted to shut off my firewall, and refussed to leave my systerm well after AION was unistalled. I had to do a full format just to get rid of the darn thing. There are other games I can pick up out there and if EA goes though with the Exlusive weapon pack(s) well this is one person not buying what their selling.
