Rabbit1251
I was proceeding through the Mechinist's Lair and at some point my robot companion with the lockpick transmitter went missing. I went on without it until I came to another sealed door. Without the transmitter I couldn't get past so I've spent two days trying to find the robot. I've looked at every dead robot in there six times. I even went back to Sanctuary Hills and checked. No luck. I've had to cheat and disable collisions to move through the doors to proceed with the quest. But I would like to get the robot back and the stuff that it's carrying. Any kind soul have an idea how this might be accomplished? Happy Easter!!The Rabbit
Fonger
when ever I lose a companion - it shows up after a few minutes - especially if I get far enough away - insta-teleports to my location since that didn't happen - reload a previous save
Zetsumi_Nihilus
The same thing happened to my friend as he was playing through. Lockpick transmitter and everything. Tried every trick I could think of - fast travel, sleep/wait, hiring another companion and sending the bot to a settlement, but we couldn't get the thing back. He ended up having to load an old save. Best advice I can give to anyone playing this section of the DLC until a patch is to pull up the console, select your bot with the transmitter installed, and write down it's ID. That way, if you lose it like this, you should be able to get it back with (BotID).moveto player
Rabbit1251
Thank you, Fonger, Zetsumi for your responses. I've tried all of the usual fixes that you mentioned already. Unfortunately, my 'last save' was just before starting the DLC. Before leaving I intend to tear the place apart looking for it. I haven't seen your name up there in a while, Fonger. I hope everything has been well for you. You have been missed by this small woodland creature. Rabbit
