TimmyTheNerd
At lv.1, I accidently came upon Umbra's place and fought her....and won....using nothing but Drain Life....and wearing steel armor. Do I get reward now?
silenzer
Well that's just that. The question of questions... but is there the answer of answers?

ub3rman123
You can now loot Umbra's armor, which is the most powerful non-leveled gear in the game. Most other gear is leveled to your level, meaning you won't get anything better than what everything else has.

ub3rman123
What do you mean? It's called Umbra's Ebony Armor. Although I was wrong on the count of its being levelled. It actually is levelled, and the level 1 set is comparable to Orcish. Aside from the armor, the sword Umbra is very useful due to its soul trap capability and zero weight if you don't complete Vile's quest.

ffa1mf
I guess Erol Eslaf identified such things correctly in his book on Cyrodiil - "what one man treasures is oblivious to another".
