Game freezing on exit

Well, I'm using OBSE v20 on the Steam version. I have tried WEOCPS and FastExit. Neither of these have helped. I'm also using DarkUI DarN.

FastExit or FastExit 2?

 

In any case -- as a last resort consider a batch file

Its the fastest controlled crash known to Akatosh. (aka quick exit)

Did you manually exit game or via console command? I tend to crash with normal exit game method (open up the menu and exit game) but once I use FastExit2 and exit from console, the game almost never crash again.

I used manual exiting. Right now, the freaking game isn't even WORKING because of the BSAs going bad. UGH.

Fonger's raised a good point. I would suggest FastExit 2. Also, try it without Earle's program running. I know that some people love it, but others (including myself) have had CTD-related issues with it. See what happens if you take it out of the equation.

I used to experience COE. I installed Streamline, using its SteamSave and StreamPurge features helped. But in installing I found that if my Oblivion.ini had these enabled:

[Gameplay]
bSaveOnInteriorExteriorSwitch=1
bSaveOnRest=1
bSaveOnTravel=1
bSaveOnWait=1

...then I would crash. Disabling them, along with enabling scripted auto save:

[General]
bAllowScriptedAutosave=1

made me completely free of COE. Maybe this could help you?
