djmystro
NEW MOD (Possibly titled 'Angel Valley') Coming Soon!Authors: Dj Mystro & Dogtown1Info: This mod adds a huge new location as big as a DLC (if not bigger once finished - like a more compact Point Lookout but with much bigger dungeons) to the north west of the map in previously unexplorable territory. The location is a big Valley (Angel Valley) with the following highlights:-A vast explorable exterior worldspace-Many exploarble buildings.-A town.-A Helios One sized Factory.-A UFO crash site.-A massive Military Fort.-A huge backstory consisting of over 30 collectable notes.-New Enemies-New Loot Pretty much everything apart from a dialogue quest (they take waaay to long anyway). My work on the project is completed for the time being as I have a lot else to attend to right now but I think this is gonna be an amazing mod when it's finished. As a taste of what is coming here's some background info in the form of a few terminal notes that you will encounter early on. SY'S NOTE 1:Finally a new place to call home. I heard rumours that no bombs had stuck Nevada but even I was surprised to find untainted water supplies and fresh food in abundance here. Compared to the horrors of DC this place is like a paradise.I even managed to reach Fort Geronimo. According to restricted data back at Raven Rock the whole base was still fully operational up to at least 20 years after 2077. Quite a trek from the capitol. I sure am glad I made Flight Lieutenant before transferring to the Tech Division.Burton seems friendly enough for a self-appointed leader. He looked like he had not seen a human face in years, and indeed after getting to know each other a little he revealed that this was indeed the case.Apparently this entire facility is boxed in at the end of a long valley. Kinda hard to tell the way I got in. No one can get in or out since a group of Deathclaws took up residence not far from the main valley entrance. He told me that they were hassled by a Raider gang who somehow found a way into a nearby factory but they have not even seen one of them in nearly a year.I asked him why so many people stay here, cut off from the rest of civilisation and it turns out there is more to this place than meets the eye. On top of running water, functional fusion generators, abundant living space and a fairly competent Militia, apparently many sections of this facility including the armory were sealed at the time of The Great War and never re-opened. There’s a whole treasure trove of restricted Tech stored in this facility, most likely in pristine condition. Burton has had people trying to hack the doors his entire life, I gather like father like son. I revealed some experience with computers and now I get the impression he’s convinced I was sent here on a higher purpose. I see no reason to deny him that vision. It will certainly help ingratiate me with the group. Francis, Burton’s second in command certainly seemed more sceptical about my pre-planned backstory. It seems there’s not much call for freelance Techies out in the desert. I sure am glad I didn’t attempt a mid-western accent. It’s a shame about the Vertibird, but it’s too far away to arrange for a salvage team. Besides that I think its best I keep a low profile. Folks around here already seem suspicious of outsiders, no reason to further fan those flames further by revealing my allegiance to a genocidal organisation.Getting here was not exactly a walk in the park either. If it were not for my mountaineering experience I would have been overwhelmed by the hordes of mutants that somehow survive in the desert. I certainly did not expect Deathclaws out here. I can’t believe we actually made those things... SY'S NOTE 02:So much for worrying about the Veribird. I persuaded Francis to show me around the facility, mostly just to patch up any inconstancies in my back story and get in his good books but also coz I wanted to get out of my new room and explore. My room is better than I could have expected though I do have to share with a quite obsessive lady called Mary. We were even paid a visit by a nice old lady called Mrs Collins who brought around a small selection of delicious cakes and pastries. She was very welcoming though Mary looked at the cakes like they were poison. I almost thought I was being set up, lured into a cannibal trap until I realised she was just worried about the crumbs. Mary’s not great at talking. I made sure to eat very carefully. It turns out she lost her husband many years ago to the Deathclaws and never quite adjusted. I think he may have abandoned her too but I did not want to pry. She seems nice enough and it’s not like there’s any sane people left anyway. It seems like her ultra-clean attitude was enough to drive many others away though it suits me fine. Kinda reminded me of my old home at the Rock. Even so it was a relief to get out and explore.Francis showed me around everywhere, including the Hangar where they have several, fairly battered but flyable aircraft. I think he was surprised when I let out a gasp but I covered it by saying I was just astonished by the size of the room. I’m not sure whether he brought it but he seemed to have other worries on his mind anyway. I tried asking him about it but he told me to mind my own business even though he seemed totally open when it came to discussing the facility. I guess Burton has decided I’m trustworthy enough to handle that info.On top of a locked basement Armory they have a mysterious Hatch that leads under the main generator in the Hangar and about two floors of unexplored laboratories above the Barracks, all locked out. The Reactor Hatch looked like a simple job but he told me they were not interested in it. According to the blueprints it’s little more than a closet. I wonder why a closet would need an industrial strength blast door? Francis said it was fine to look around in my free time though I was to stay away from the aircraft or ‘antiques’ as he referred to them. Yeah, that’s probably not going to happen but I’ll be careful. I still don’t want any undue attention. TRANSLATED NOTE 1:Pipboy Auto-Translate 97% Successful<Unknown Word> Looks like we hit some sub-space interference during the dimension jump. <Unknown Word> says her auto guidance systems are fried and we need to find a safe spot to land and initiate repairs. I am unfamiliar with this reality, though I am more than familiar with the Universe. Looks like we are not far from Terra, the humanoid settlement in <Unknown Word>. Same time and date as the reality I jumped from, as usual. We should be OK. I have visited that place many times before. The locals are easy enough to deal with but unfortunately are worth little more than space detritus on the Collector’s Markets. Not that that matters with my current cargo. x10 ‘Classic’ T-800 Cyberdyne Systems Extermination Units [All units inactive and awaiting Re-programming]x4 Tyranid Claw Beats [A very rare find, found a small unknown brood including Xoanthrope on the 3rd moon of <Unknown Word>. Xoanthrope unfortunately perished during acquisition]. x8 Khazra [Assorted, collected to order.]x3 Wannamingo [Prime specimens for the <Unknown Word> Tournament. Should fetch a good price on the night].x6 Xenomorph [Warrior Class from the rare and ultimately failed experiments at Wayland/Yutani in the <Unknown Word> dimension].x9 Xenomorph Eggs [A delicacy in my own homeworld of <Unknown Word>, I don’t expect many to be left once I get back. I have Butler preparing one for me now]. x1 Xenomorph Queen [My most prized commodity, a completely acid free Xenomorph Queen, bred as part of a ‘domestication’ project, possibly the only one in existence]. Thankfully all the organics are all still sealed in their stasis chambers, for their benefit as well as mine. I’m getting random power failures across the board though. I’ll have to deactivate several of my droids, else risk loosing power to the vital systems. TRANSLATED NOTE 2:Pipboy Auto-Translate 89% Successful<Unknown Word> <Unknown Word> Cobblers <Unknown Word>. Forgot to reset the seals on the <Unknown Word> Egg stasis chamber. I was working on repairing the guidance systems when I heard the alarms go. When Butler went down to collect supper three of them had hatched. The droids took care of two but one managed to climb up into the ductwork. Somehow it must have crawled into a vital systems area and <Unknown Word> committed an auto-purge with the <Unknown Word> hatch still open! A.A.I. my <Unknown Word>. You nearly fried me you stupid <Unknown Word> <Unknown Word>!Guidance systems are totally cooked. Somehow I managed to find a distress beacon coming from Terra. Looks like it’s <Unknown Word> in origin but it should be enough to guide us down. It’s gonna be a rough landing though....

Kuroshu
Oh my god... More killing things?! YAY! Gotta kill them all!Looking forward to this~ I do hope that it has an Ending, so I know I've at least finished the Mod's story. IF not I might spend weeks going back and forth for nothing. Other that that this looks SWEET!
djmystro
Kuroshu:There is a big boss character planned who has a nice reward or two (along with a few sub-bosses). I don't think they are ready yet but pretty much everything else is and it's looking great. You may still end up coming back frequently just coz of the huge amount of places to go and stuff to find (I frequently get lost and miss out entire sections and I made half of it). There are now over 40 notes with four main stories (from the two chracters in the first post plus a Raider and a Great Khan). All the stories have an ending assuming you find all the notes, though to say more would probably give too much away.
