Aliens vs Terminator vs Fallout

NOTE: This info will not be mentioned on the main site if I can help it so *do not go duplicating it*.

 

Just for the record a lot of stuff I said would be in this mod is not.

Basically I'd feel like a liar unless I pointed out that:

-Half the notes are either missing or do not make sense anymore (It was 100% lore friendly in my opinion to all factions before - I spent about 4 days total reseraching and making notes).

-The ammo scripts and triggers I added are gone so no CaliberX ammo in new guns.

-The friendly Turret emplacements are gone (Creature forms replaced and all unique data removed).

-No factions fight each other anymore (and all my faction data had been wiped)

-Finding Schematics on terminals for all new ammo variants has been dropped (and half the terminals dropped for the 3rd or 4th time). So now the player just 'knows' how to make Diamond bullets.

-NCR Inner and Outer camps are missing

-All scripts gone apart from 1 4D Storage Script & Device (there used to be 4 4D Storage plus the ammo script)

 

Basically In my opinion it's gone from 99% finished to about 50% and I lost about a weeks work minimum. For these reasons along with many others I will not be playing the mod until I am 100% happy with it (I'll just see things to fix otherwise and cant spare the time).

I only write this here because this is where I made 90% of my statements about what the mod would contain and I do not want to decive or confuse anyone.

If I lose any more work on the current project I'm just gonna release the old version coz it makes much more sense to me (and it still has all the stuff in it I said would be there) even if it is in a conflict hot-spot.

I will not be responding to questions regarding Angel Park on the main site (or prob any other) until I have actally finished and played it.

 

On the plus side it is huge so lots of potential but I'm just not gonna stay involved if I am re-doing the same stuff over and over. There is still a huge amount of effort put into it and it deserves all the attention it is getting but for me all I can see is what could be (or in certain cases what was and no longer is).

Bah, that's alright, so what if it takes a while longer? It's generally better if the creators are as happy with it as the community is. I'm really interested to see what we're missing here. I unlike most avoided a bulk of the news on this so everything would be a surprise and I have to say, if what I have on my computer is not the full thing, then damn... this really will be one of the best mods for this game I've ever played (I've played a great many). Anyways, enough of my new found "fan-boyism" there is a time and a place for that and that place is the REAL release. I hope you get this solved, best of luck sir.

There are terminator 3d models available there, including the Aerial Hunter-Killer drone. Could you take the Hunter-Killer model and process it into a floating creature in the mod? It would be nice to have some new aerial threats instead of just the bloatflies. If you can find some new movie monsters that fly, you could put them into the mod too.

 

I´m thinking about the Dragons from the movie Reign of Fire. You could get a dragon model, paint it black and make it breath napalm (a burning liquid effect that sticks around and burns damaging everything) and then add it as a creature to the mod. The rationale would be that the aliens were collecting the most dangerous creatures from the multiple universes and hence they found dragons on some planet.

 

Hopefully you will allow other mod makers to use all these creatures in their mods, I´d love to have Terminators roaming around my worlds.

 

You could also add Arachnids from the Starship troopers and of course weapons and armour from that movie too.

Hey M8's. I just have to say you guys are Hero's for all your efforts. All of this content and your past contributions are nothing short of Epic. I used to be a high end coder, and know full well the work expended to accomplish what you have/are done/doing.

 

Just wanted to say, I wish there were more like you.
