mods not working after survival beta update

This is not a problem. That is exactly the way Beth intended the BETA survival mode to work. They intentionally disabled all mods for testing.

BETA means being tested and NOT! a ready to play update. If you want mods, disable beta updates in Steam. If you want to HELP TEST the survival mode then enable the beta updates and understand you will not be able to play it with mods because they want you to test it and using mods breaks the testing.

Whining and complaining that Beth broke the game is just dumb. They didn't break anything - YOU opted to use the beta update.

Yeah, so exactly where is there "whining" about Beth breaking someone's modded game in this thread?

I think this is a much more civil thread with people just asking if anyone has a workaround.

This is the worst post I have ever seen by a forum staff member. No one complained, they were looking for a way to use their mods. And since this beta also includes fixes for some issues, one shouldn't be forced to disable their mods if they want to use the beta. I found this through google when I myself couldn't figure out why my mods suddenly didn't work. You should know it's currently one of the only resources to know it's the beta and not something else. So you attacking members for no reason will get a lot of traffic.

It may not be what you want to hear but the the staff member post is absolutely correct. Look, I'm searching for a way to enable mods myself, but I understand that this is a beta and the purpose of it is to help find bugs, which cannot be done effectively with mods. Therefore I don't blame Bethesda at all, it's up to me to find a workaround if at all possible, and if not, I just have to deal with it and wait for the official release.

I usually just read through these and ignore the trash, but this time....

I am really annoyed by posts that interpret someone else's intentions when you do not even know the person you are interrupting

it is not possible for you to know such information

and when you do, at least be honest and say it is your opinion, and not state it as fact

sorry for the rant.....

IN my opinion: the difficulty modes need to be broken down into individual optional settings, not a all in one huge time sink

I personally don't see why asking for help is such a bad thing. Yes we opted into beta's before but in the past it did not break my mods. I have done previous beta patches and it didn't break everything. I would love to see a productive answer. If no one knows then that is fine too. It would have been nice for Beth to send out at least some sort of press or reminder to opt out if they were planning on banning all mods from this beta. I would have gladly opted out prior to it coming out.
