Thanks for the link!

Unfortunately, it seems that SS2 will not be coming out as a free (legal) version anytime soon. Looking Glass Studios shut down their website last November, and at the top of the site, there was a big, "System Shock 2 is abandonware, but that does NOT mean it is free!"

However, you could always buy a copy of System Shock 2... (look at the price of the new copy  ).

But I was too cheap to do that, so I just watched a Let's Play of it.

Yeah it's pretty cool, it even has mouselook modded in.

Don't give up hope for SS2 yet though, as EA finally signed a deal with GoG. Not for System Shock 2 yet, but it's a big step forward, because previously not a single EA game was on there. SS2 has also been the #1 most requested game on the site for a long, long time.

System Shock 2 is fantastic, I managed to get a copy fairly cheap a couple of years ago.

I've wanted to play SS1 ever since I played SS2. Downloaded the game and started it. Jeez...it's difficult to remember graphics being that bad. But hey, I finally get to play, even if I can't find the code to get out of the first area. My heartfelt thanks for sharing the link.

What're the graphics comparable? Looks worse than the original Half Life. Like Daggerfall.

It was released in the same year as Arena, 1994. I'd say it looks slightly worse than Arena.

There are a few files/commands to boost the graphics to 900x600. Take a look in the folders.

Me, I have no complaints about the game. Been waiting a long time to see how Shodan got started.
